Fast Pass Upgraded?

I picture it to be somewhat similar to Universal's Express for Resort Guests. I don't have a problem with the concept as long as it doesn't affect the lines in terms of FASTPASS for other park guests. WDI will do plenty of testing before (if) implementing this new system. Besides, it's still a rumor at this point.

My guess is that, if they did this, they would only make minor perks, say maybe, deluxe guests may get another fast pass earlier, or perhaps they may get two in the same time period.

yeah THAT i can live with

but having
deluxe- unlimited at same time
moderate- 3 at a time
value- 2 at a time

thats just overdoing it. it would be chaos. how would off property/ 1day visitors ever get onto any fastpass attraction without like a 2 hour wait when competing with all the resort guests

But they do offer shorter check in lines and shorter security lines to first class passengers. And they have one bathroom for 16 seats in first class vs one bathroom for 60 seats in coach.

airlines also try their best to make everyone feel welcome

disney implementing such a fastpass idea would undoubtedly make nonresort guests feel like the metaphorical redheaded unwanted stepchild

If you want a perk that is offered in a disney resort, then you should stay at the disney resort. same could be for EMH.

If they do this, I may need to find a 12 step support group for E-ticket addicts. The only reason Vern and I get to anything in MGM other than RnRC and ToT is because the fast passes are rationed, and we have to find something else to do until we can get and use another one. Same with Soarin at Epcot, and Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain at MK. I can envision the same problem at AK when EE opens. We will overdose on our favorite rides, miss the magic of everything else the parks have to offer, leave the parks in a dazed stupor, and not have nearly the amount of wonderful memories when we go home.

I know this doesn't make sense, but neither does smoking cigarettes, overeating, or binge drinking. The current fast pass system forces us into moderation, and we have a better time in the parks because of it. We're addicted to the E-tickets, and need a higher power to keep us from overdoing.

Anyone want to start an E-ticket anonymous support group with me? Step 1: We admitted we were powerless..... :lookaroun

Airlines have "front of the line" benefits based on levels of the customer. same thing.

only some people would think so... most would see it as a perk to entice people to stay onsite in the best resort they could.

I doubt Disney would implement this since most of its guests ( I am guessing) stay on property (and yes, 51% would get you to most), so the fastpass line would be as long as the regular wait line.

My suggestion, go during off season.

thats all well and good except for the fact that EMH doesnt interfere with the guests who arent staying at a resort it just lets resort guests stay later or come earlier... FURTHERMORE if they have all those EMH to go on the rides that are already fastpassed then why would they need more fastpasses?

I think it would be ok for some extra perks. We always stay on property, so I'm not too personally concerned about it. I do think it might be a little excessive to let Deluxe guest get as many fastpasses as they want from one ride. I don't care too much about having more than one at a time, but it might be a little excessive to just get as many as you want for one ride. Maybe one Deluxe resort ticket could be used for, say, ToT, and then as a five or ten minute time frame before another one can be gotten, that way there is still time for others to get fastpasses. I don't know...I agree, Disney owns the parks, they can do whatever they want. I do think though that Disney has wonderful costomer service (at least in my experience) and they won't do something so drastic that might make a lot of guests angry...but, they might.

Because.

So, will we DVC members get a faster than fast fastpass?

Back in 2003 we visited Disneyland with a AAA package, staying on property. One of the perks was the fast pass system... You could get/hold multiple fast passes for different attractions (2 or 3?) without waiting the 1-3 hrs in between. So I would bet it would only take a software teak to get this to work with the different resorts. Don’t think it would take any new hardware.

Let's not talk about implementation yet. We don't even know if it's going to happen. Even so, I'm sure that WDI will implement any changes so they don't negatively affect guests.

By the way... someone was complaining a few days ago that they were pushed out of the park because EMH was going to start. They were complaining that offsite guests don't get the same park time as onsite. So, yes, EMH has had complaints.
