Fantasyland Permits

Permit on the 18th which based on the address is probably in the Fantasyland Expansion. One of this company's previous permits was for "Experience Development - DBO Show Control Hardware" at the Dumbo location so I am guessing that MER might be for Little Mermaid.

1310 Magic Kingdom Dr (Storybook Circus?) - Experience Development - MER Interactive Electronic Equipment

A big thanks to you for doing all this research and investigating. Those permits are hard for me to understand sometimes and get a little too technical at times (never went to engineering school). I love how you can use your skills to decipher these for us regular folk. Your hard work is MUCH appreciated!!!

Thanks for the compliment. There really isn't much to go on in these documents so most of it is just guess work. For the real technical questions I still fall back on one of the previous permit maintainers, edwardc, he is really the construction expert.

Yep. Regular folks who know all about government subsidies. Salt of the earth types who couldn't possibly understand these complicated documents.

(Someone's laying it on a bit thick tonight!)

It's amazing how much you guys learn from these permits though.

I love mystery novels (Agatha Christie and James Patterson are my favorites, though I'm partial to Sookie Stackhouse mysteries too) and when I see you guys sorting through permits and documents for clues as to what Disney is doing, it feels like you are solving real-time, real-life mysteries.

It's really exciting! Wish I had the patience and skills to help out, but I will certainly enjoy the benefits of all of your sleuthing!

I believe there were Show Set permits filed some time ago for Mermaid....which were likely for the ride scenes themselves. So, this is probably for queue-related or MnG elements, since that's what they're finishing up.

Sounds like the m&g. I think they finished or are close to finishing the rockwork there. Hopefully they turned this into a hidden gem. There is space there for something special.

Ariel needs an appropriate place to greet...and it only makes sense for it to be at the ride.
