Fantasyland Permits

In case people haven't been looking at the Permit thread there have been two Fantasyland related permits recently:

1394 Magic Kingdom Dr (Dumbo) - 2011-8 Showset Package 1

This one is at the location of the old Dumbo and the contractor is Adirondack Scenic who is also doing show sets for the Be Our Guest Restaurant and Little Mermaid. My only guess on this one is that it's for the rest of the castle wall.

MK Fantasyland Props, 1308 Magic Kingdom Dr - Provide Labor, materials and/or equipment for construction

From other permits we know 1300 Magic Kingdom Dr is the Toon Town train station, so my best guess on this one is that it's for installation of the Casey Jr Water Play Area which is supposed to be right next to the train station.

I'm guessing that most of the waterplay props for the splash pad area were probably mostly pre-fab built somewhere else, and can be dropped in and installed pretty quickly? I was a little worried that this place was going to not make it in time for "late February", but if they are easy to drop in, maybe!

Yeah, if they are going to make the March 12th date (which was late February) it would have to be pre-fab.

The second one could also be for the set dressing inside the train station, since it will have the same address as the old one. Props is a very specific term that I haven't seen before. The splash pad would be a more substantial installation.

Also, given that it's BVCC (Disney), its more likely that they're dressing the train station...in my opinion.

Couldn't "audio visual support" simply refer to the omnipresent speakers that pipe in music? Although looking at some of the recent aerial photographs, the building is huge!

And what do we assume these permits pertain too? What is facility ride columns steel? LOL

Ummmmmmm. Steel columns....for....the ride....facility?

I'm just throwing that out there. :)

Less sarcastically, this is the structural steel for the load building and rest of the show buildings.

I take it to mean the construction is going vertical. Although that does not mean it will reach 'ground level' anytime soon as that is a rather deep pit. I think it is even below utilidor level. Remember when people said that could never happen because of the water table?

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is actually dug to ground level. Remember that to build Seven Seas Lagoon, they had to dig the lake and the dirt was used for Magic Kingdom. Therefore, the hole right now for the mine train isn't below sea level but at actual ground level.

You haven't worked with many engineers have you? Sorry I couldn't resist...

There is nothing groundbreaking about this construction process. Sorry. Nothing at all.

Mine ride is oing vertical as i type this. Theyre setting the second piece of steel right now. Concrete block wall on north side is up. Finally, progress above the wall!
