Great photo from Fantasyland 1974, looking through my parents albums and found it, must have been taken from Skyway......

Nice find. Correct me if im wrong but that is looking into liberty square, frontierland, and adventurland. if you look toward the back of the pic you can see the top of the tiki room sticking up.

That pic was indeed taken from the skyway, infact just at the begining at the skyway. I know this because you can see the entrance of the skyway.

Looks a bit like the town from the original movie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

OMG. It does. Right when Charlie and his grandpa and Willie Wonka leave on the Great Glass Elevator.

Look at the right hand side tree line - note the PotC main show building. Less than a year old hence no tree cover!

I love the clothes that people are wearing in the photo. The best part is that you could wear the same thing today and it would be in style again!

Thanks for the picture!

Super ugly green. That is what I call that showbuilding. I prefer Splash Mountain's reddish pink show building or Soarin's Blue showbuilding.

Oh well. Got any tall trees for Soarin?

And on a side note, I am very surprised on the proximity of the Pirates and Splash Mountain show buildings, they seem so far away in the park but back stage they are right next to each other.

That is a very nice picture! My parents have old photos but not nearly that great quality.

Does anyone have a more recent shot from that angle to compare it to (from right before the skyway was removed)?

That is a cool photo. I love seeing old photos like that. Especially from times before I was there (or, before I was born! *chuckles*) My Love first went in 1972 (at the tender age of two) and I first went in 1984 (at the age of seven) so the different photos over the years are just super interesting to look at. What's changed and what's stayed the same.

Thanks for sharing! :)
