I just hot back Monday from another great trip in WDW. I noticed that in MK after fireworks the ground in fantasy land is soaked. It did not rain once between the30th andthe 4th but the ground was drenched. Do they intentionally wet the ground before fireworks?

Yes, they do that as a safety precataution before the fireworks. I was actually standing in Fantasyland once while it was "raining". It was pretty cool actually

And you can't walk through the castle or around Snow White and in front of the Carousel as I found out during my last trip.

I heard "step out to your left please" alot during that night.

It's most noticable if you're walking through Liberty Square and you look up above Hall of Presidents and Columbia Harbor House, you can see the mist of water. And if you're in the seating area behind Sleepy Hollow you can hear the sprinklers back in the trees and bushes going.
