Disney has released the rest of the itinerary for 2012 for Disney Fantasy!

It's not on their website yet, but it is available to call and book.

The Fantasy and Dream have been selling out ridiculously fast. If you're interested, book it now! Odds are the prices are only going up!

We are also hoping dates and itineraries and the other ships will be out around March 10th!

Can't wait to see what DCL has in store next!:sohappy:

We'll announce it here (and in emails to clients who have asked to be notified) as soon as we know details!

Tammy any word if there will be any European sailings in 2012 yet? I don't see anything past this year?

We're currently booked on the Dream for next April and I was shocked when the DCL agent said the cruise was almost sold out.

Nothing yet. We are hoping that on the 10th we will have that information to get out to everyone.

Sorry, I missed this. What Pam said!

It's true that the Dream is almost sold out. I've been having a really hard time finding open dates for clients. Many sailings are down to only concierge rooms left.

I've got a list going of people that want to know if DCL is sailing to Europe. Let me know if you want on it!:)

Thanks Tammy. Yes please let me know if you head of any sailing to Europe for next year.

Next question, since this is going to be our first cruise... If the ship is sold out, will it still be an enjoyable experience? I'm picturing the place being a mad house and freaking out at the moment!

Yes! Pretty much every sailing is sold out. If the ships not full they offer travel agent discounts, cm discounts, Florida resident discounts and military discounts. They fill those ships, no matter what the time of year.

They never feel crowded. There were some initial reports that the Dream was feeling crowded because there's so many more people onboard, but the on the last couple of sailings they seem to be working out the kinks and dealing with the bigger crowds.:)

We won't know for sure until they release the rest of the dates to the public which we are hoping for on the 10th. And yes we will be offering OBC for the Fantasy.

I've heard a lot of people grumbling over how high the pricing is for the Fantasy. Are the prices as high for the Magic & Wonder for the same time frame as the Fantasy sailings? Just curious if Disney is throwing a premium on the newer ships that are getting all the hype.

It's hard to compare because they don't have two ships sailing the same itineraries at the same time. And the time is a huge factor in price. September is a cheaper month to cruise and I found September's prices on the Fantasy to be comparable to past years prices - different ship, same itineraries.

The prices are going up quicker on the new ships because of the high demand right now. That wil probably taper off but who knows when!

What you said is exactly what I was thinking but I wasn't sure because until all these killer Dream reveiws hit the web (yours!) I never paid much attention to cruising. I read on another board where people were saying the prices for Fantasy were high then some discussion that all DCL's rates seemed to be jumping but I have no past knowledge to compare. I also tried going to the website and doing as close to an apple-to-apples type search as I could between the ships but it's near impossible to do that because of what you said about not having really parellel dates between them to compare. I definitely get the concept of how they price the cruises (least expensive when bookings open then as the ship fills getting more expensive). That makes sense. I guess the most simplistic way to view this question of "Are the cruises on the newer ships priced higher than that of the older ships" is to approach it from the demand effect on the bookings. Logically there will be more demand on the newer ships because people like "new" and repeat cruisers will be interested to try out the new digs. If there's more demand then I would expect those prices to climb faster than those on the older ships. It could be argued that the new ships are bigger than the old ones so the greater demand could be compensated by the size difference but I don't think that would make that much impact. Certainly Disney isn't going to charge less on the Dream & Fantasy just because there's more staterooms to sell. The percentages may skew some but I think for now the demand looks like it outweighs that variable by a long-shot. Like you said, the Dream bookings seem to be exploding and people are really noticing. It's interesting to see how all these factors play into one another. I think I poked my head into the DCL realm at a pretty neat time.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Tammy. I've told ya a ton already but you are really keeping me sane with all this stuff. Thank YOU!!!

You are very welcome! You're right this is a very interesting time!
The rise in prices since the Dream and Fantasy just reinforce what I tell people - book early!!:)

Checked our sailing for May 12th and we're happy that Key West is no longer on our Itinerary.

Also, since we booked our cruise at the end of December...so 3 months ago, the same package we purchased has gone up about $300 total. Will be interesting to watching the price go up as the cruise gets closer!

I have some clients who booked the first day the Fantasy rates came out. Their price has now gone up over $1500.

It's great when you're already booked, not fun for the friends who have just now decided they want to join.

Well shoot. No big announcement today. It looks like Disney is making us wait a little longer for the rest of the 2012 itineraries.

Ugh! This both good/bad news for me. I've been itching to see what else DCL was coming out with (like where the Magic & Wonder will be next year, heard some interesting rumors :animwink:). I was on the road home from Oklahoma today and was afraid I'd miss the big announcement. Guess I didn't. But, dang! How much longer are they gonna keep us waiting?!?! :D
