We hope to do Fantasmic! on our next trip, next May. Just wanted to know if it is shown every night, or only on certain nights. I think it used to be shown every night a long time ago (back when we saw it the first time), but then I thought they cut it back to one or two nights a week. Does it depend on what month it is, as to what day of the week it is shown (if it is still only shown on certain days vs every night)?

As of now it is every night.

All I can say it that it is a very long time before next May. Check when it is closer. Also just because it is showing nightly at even 3 months out, WDW can change plans at any time for the adding of another separate ticket event, repair or closure, etc.

Yes, which is why you want to get a good deal of the planning out of the way now, so you can get that out of the way and focus on the fun you're going to have.

Is there a general rules as to whether the early or late show is less crowded? We have the option of going on either of two nights. One has evening extra magic hours too. Any suggestions?

Do you have a general idea of the dates you plan to go? Because that will effect things, as Star Wars Weekends occur in the latter half of May, and that's when DHS sees MUCH higher crowd levels.

We are arriving on Sunday May 24 and staying 10 nights, checking out on Wednesday, June 3. I have two days planned for DHS, one of which being on a Friday, for Star Wars weekends.

I believe depending on the time of year, it's actually shown twice at night?? Like in the summer, I think (although correct me if I'm wrong), that there's an early show and then a later show?? I'm not sure if they do that in May. I would check the May calendar for this past May, and that will probably give you a pretty good idea of what the show schedule will be like next May.

we just went this may around the same time. We did fantasmic thursday night May22nd and there was only the 9:00 show, but i did notice that the following week showed a later show. You are going to have to wait until november. (the 6 month park schedule will come out for May 2015)

Based on what I saw this year, the day you're there that's not during SWW will likely be far less crowded than the Friday. We did a Monday and a Friday the first week of June. Even with evening EMH on Monday, the Friday was far more crowded.

If there are two shows during your stay, the first show is generally more crowded by far. On our Monday visit, we used FP+ for everything we wanted to do (or had less than a 20 minute wait so didn't need a FP), so at about 7:30 or 8:00 I went to see what other FP's we could get, and the only thing left that we hadn't done that I was interested in using a FP for was Fantasmic, so we got FP's for the second show. I was glad to be able to get in without waiting in that awful line, but I wouldn't have gotten the FP for it if we had not run out of other things to use it for lol.

Also, FWIW... if there are two shows, RnRC and ToT both get pretty slow during the first show, but then the lines jump up immediately after the first show because people are trying to get one more ride in before the park closes. So if there are two shows, I highly recommend going to the second one and using that time during the first one to get in some rides with shorter lines.

One other thing, we are thinking about doing the Fantasmic Dinner package. On one evening, we plan for sure to eat at Mama Melrose. On the other evening, it will either be 50s Prime Time or HollyWood & Vine. I have never had supper at H&V before, and if they are doing the character supper again for SW weekends (with Chip and Dale dressed as Ewoks), I would like to do that. But are all three of those restaraunts available for the Fantasmic Dinner Package?

Prime Time and Mama Melrose? Yes, if I'm not mistaken. H&V running a SWW meal? Less sure about that.

EDIT: Someone beat me to it, and more accurately.
