Fantasmic

Hi all,
I have seen a lot about fantasmic at Hollywood studios and I would love to go but I heard that the line is crazy! Just looking for some input and personal preferences on the show, is it worth the wait? Has any one used the dinner package the offer?

Do you suggest showing up once the line is super short and just taking what ever seats are available, I am not particular about seating so I wouldn't mind sitting in the back.

I have done the dinner package and the show, Its totally worth it, you go in the back entrance and the seating is great. usually however the dinner is earlier a late lunch or early dinner.

I'll be honest, I found the show boring, and overrated, and leaving it was a mess you really do feel like your going through a cattle shoot. And watch out for a glow sword or wand to the head(they sell tons of trinkets like it's popcorn at a baseball game so if your with kids be prepared to be pestered).

If you are going to see the show, absolutely do the Dinner Package. Eliminates the wait.

I think you should definitely see it, and if you dont really mind where you are sitting, I would maybe get to the SECOND showing, if there are two, about 20 to 30 minutes before...and you should be ok. All depending on when you are going of course.

Don't ever feel bad about looking for spaces where you can ask people to just move over, haha...that is what I do...nicely of course. ;)

Do you know how I would go about getting the package is we are using the disney dining plan? My boyfriend and I plan on eating at the brown derby and they do the package but Im not sure how that would work.
That I don't know. I don't know if you plan on making reservations online or not, but at least for the Fantasmic package I'd recommend calling to make that one. That way you can ask about how Fantasmic fits into the dining plan.

I'd be interested to know what you end up doing. I'll be going in December on the dining plan, and would like to do the Fantasmic package like you are doing.

EDIT:: I just looked on allears.net, and it said you can book the package through the dining plan.
The only catch is that Brown Derby is considered a Signature, so it will cost you two table service credits. Which it would have done anyway regardless of it being the Fantasmic package.

Thanks! I plan on making all my dining reservations over the phone the first morning I can, it'll be my first trip with out any family so I am excited and anxious to get everything reserved. My boyfriend and I actually planned out our dining plan options yesterday and that is a huge weight off my shoulders. The brown derby is a must for us (my boyfriend and his friends had a band in high school called the brown derby and the swan so he really wants to go) so we planned on doing a quick service dinner our first night and applying that extra table service to our 3rd night which will be at HWS!

Glad everything planned out for you. My ADR booking day is June 10, and I'm pretty well planned out as far as what I want to book goes. Just waiting on park hours to make some final decisions.

Do you know about how soon they release the park hours? Planning for next year has been stressful so far because nothing is released yet.

It is a must do at least once!! My family does it at least once each trip with the dining package! The package is fantastic and saves quite a bit of time on line!!! However there is one major exception to the rule!! Avoid Hollywood and Vile at all costs! Now go and have a Fantasmic! time!!
