My wife and I haven't seen this show in about a year and we're very excited that we'll be able to watch it this week! :sohappy:

But a couple quick questions, according to Allears it's playing at 9:00pm and 10:30pm... which show is going to be less crowded?

I mean, I'm ok with waiting to see the show, but I'm not too thrilled about the possibility of having to wait over an hour.

What time should I plan on getting in line for either of the shows?

Thanks all! :)

When we were there on the 12th, the 9pm show sold out. But we were one of the first in line for the 10:30 showing. Got to be fifth row dead center and it was amazing. Keep in mind the stadium seats about 10,000 people.

Second show is always less crowded.
45 mins before the second show will guarantee you a spot.

Thank you both for the replies!

We'll plan on going to the 2nd show and we'll get there 40 to 45 minutes early :)

Second show, but you`ll possibly be in a bit of a crush / crowd waiting for the first show to empty. Depends on how good control is on the night, size of crowds and where/when you are allowed to walk off Sunset.

I went to the second show a few weeks ago and was amazed...got a spot front and center, and for some reason no one else was sitting there! Seriously, me and my boyfriend were the only two people sitting in the front and center row! Wasn't even a windy night where water from the fountain hits you.

Ahhh crowd control... good point Martin.
Hopefully it won't be too much of an issue, and we'll be able to navigate our way through the hoards of people leaving the 9:00pm show.

To those who have seen this show recently, can you speak a little bit about how the actual "finding of a seat" works? What I mean is, once you get to the front of the line and you're in the amphitheater at the top above the seats, do the CM's force you to one side of the seating, filling up rows in order and moving on to the next row behind it, or is it essentially you are able to pick wherever a seat is open.

Like I said earlier, it's been awhile since we've seen this show and I can't remember if we were directed to a row, seated next to the people we were in line next to, or if we could sit anywhere there was an open space.

Thanks all!! Really appreciate the responses :) :)

You shouldn't have to worry about fighting past the 9:00 crows - the CMs will keep you roped in a little separate area until traffic clears up. One of thsoe things where they slowly walk forward, and anyone who goes past them has to go to the back of the line.

Last time I was there, which was at the end of April, they directed you towards the left side of the theater, since when you enter you are a bit off to the right side. Once you got to the center aisle you were free to enter down that aisle or any other aisle to the left of it. Then once the middle sections were basically full they start letting people go wherever they want. I got there 45 minutes before the show started and has no problem getting a front and center seat.

Avoid the 9pm show at all costs, every time I have picked up extra hours there recently it has filled pretty quickly and you have to be there at least an hour early to get a decent seat. With the 10.30pm show you can pretty much get in line 30 min before and be able to get a seat.

Not always; I was part of the crowd that had to queue all the way down Sunset to Planet Hollywood from the Hollywood Hills arch entrance 2 years ago. It was bedlam, and even worse when the holding area was opened up and the crowd stampeded.

Wow, sounds crazy! Well, hopefully they've cleared up those problems if that happened 2 years ago.

It was very un-Disney and a little unnerving. We only saw the show once last year (could not be bothered with the scheduling) with just the regular general chaos in the holding area waiting for show one to finish and empty.
