And tbh, I think I'm just setting myself up for disappointment for the anticipation of moving LED fountains. The longer the wait is, the less hopeful I become lol...hope I'm wrong though! We need some closeups on those fountains!

It's probably good to note that DL is having trouble maintaining their moving fountains. 2/3 sets have been broken since it returned about 4 months ago. And individual fountains in the single working set are breaking here and there..

I have always been puzzled by the fact that Disneyland’s fantasmic has so much trouble with their moving fountains. I remember in 2014 when they installed the first gen of dancing fountains that had a big problem of having their timing off, and well as having the water streams look weirdly small. And now with the post-2017 fountains not working as well. Considering that they have a show in WOC that to be fair certainly has its share of fountains messing up, but still has so many more than used in F!, why is there so much problems with the moving fountains, and why don’t they just use the WOC fountains that have been proven to be much more reliable?

During my vacation week (early December), I find it interesting that Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose and HBD have pretty "spotty" dining reservations available. Those are the restaurants typically with the F! dining packages.

Soft assumption here is they are holding back some inventory for the F! packages.

Yeah I remember all those fail videos from around 2014 when those moving fountains were first installed. Shows were stopped then restarted often.

I think WoC benefits from having much more fountains to cover up its issues. If you really look at it, there's many broken/turned off one's, but in the grand scheme it's barely noticeable. F! obviously doesn't benefit from that since there's only 7 in each set and are front and center.

I would look at Harmonius where there are tons of moving fountains on its many barges. Those seem to work fine from what I can tell.

Well that would be surprising (not using the DL audio) but I obviously haven’t seen the new show so I trust you on that. Hope that means we keep our post-show music.

All I had been told is that it sounds great in the amphitheater. Glad the two shows will stay entirely distinct from each other. I will be curious to see which show we end up thinking is better since the DL fans often say their show used to be better.

Ok so trying to squeeze and read the tea leaves now but got an email from TP today letting me know the week we are there in mid-November HS is now opening 1/2 hour earlier than had been listed. ? 1/2 hour earlier = Fantasmic later? 🤷‍♀️

No, unfortunately. Disney puts out park hours around 70 days out and then expands the hours as it gets closer. DHS has been expanding in the mornings with that 2nd round of park hour edits for quite some time.

Well a person can hope, right? DH LOVES F! And we haven’t been to WDW in 13 years

As the Sun sets earlier, it will be harder to look for Calendar Clues. DHS may not have to extend for F! as the Fall goes on.......

Went to DLR for the first time this summer after seeing F! at WDW probably 15 times. We both actually prefer the WDW version overall. Both are great, but ultimately the WDW felt so much grander and spectacular.

I wonder if there will be a better transition to villains than “princesses are so pretty” to “slave in the Magic Mirror…”. I imagine they will want to remove the slave line and then the dude in the mirror talking about how the princesses are prettier than the Evil Queen. Doesn’t feel very 2022…

They’ll probably just copy the scene from Fantasmic 2.0 at Disneyland if they want to avoid that

I wouldn't hold my breath on this, unfortunately. I'm going to guess they'll take that page from Disneyland. I hope I'm wrong but I'd be willing to bet on it at this point.

Yeah and wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of the reason they’ve never brought back Wishes, even as a nostalgia run or special event cause the evil queen says “save in the magic mirror”. I hope they redo the entire villains scene in Fantasmic and get ride of everyone except, The evil queen, Jafar (for the snake), Cheragbog, and Malfeticent

Hades to Chernabog is a fantastic segway. I wish they would ditch any villain without supernatural powers (Scar, Frollo, Cruella)

Yeah Hades to Cherabog is a great transition. I think they should do, Evil Queen to Jafar, Jafar to Hades, Hades to Cherabog, Cherabog to Maleficent. Remove the villains that have
no purpose. Ursula, Creulla de vil, Scar and Frollo.

Ursula is a witch, and also a little Easter egg to the DL show, I don’t mind her staying. I also would not be opposed to adding Dr Facilier to the sequence for the same reason, they are the stuff of nightmares.
