Hey guys. Just to clear something up They will be doing Sorcery in the Sky at MGM studios on July 4th. The rumor going around about the ones on 6/25 were the last ones were only half true. the Sorcery then was the last one they were doing for a private event. But July 4th will be the last for the public.

I know from going to MGM often that when it rains too hard for characters to go out they have a rain show called A Taste Of Fantasmic! Does anyone know if there is a video of this show, where it could be. Thanks

The fireworks on July Fourth will be the last showing of Sorcery in the Sky. However, MousePlanet is reporting that the giant, inflatable Mickey has already been dismantled, meaning that presentation will not be the complete Sorcery in the Sky.

I didn't think the inflatable Mickey had worked since the mid 90's. At least whenever I saw the show back then, it wasn't working.

I definately hope that we will get to see the REAL Sorcery in the Sky one last time on the 4th.

I have a few pics (& Video) of the mickey -I`ll dig them out. There is a video of A Taste of Fantasmic! at Disney Central. It`s Dolby`s I think.

The Sorcery that is being presented on the 4th is only similar to the original in name. It will not have the same soundtrack. This is not a rumor.

There is a Fantasmic! video by Dolby. It's actually called something like "Fantasmic (Breakdown)". I got it from the torrents.

I find it ingenious that Disney uses "Little April Shower" to kick off the abbreviated show when the weather is nasty. It's a nice touch.

PS: Looking forward to the pics and video of inflatable Mickey.

The video is in my Sorcery in the Sky 1990 video at Disney Central. No inflating though - Mickey wasn`t lit until he was fully up, so unless you were near the theatre and were looking in the right place he wasn`t apparent until lit: scroll about half way down this post.
