Walt Disney Entertainment expected it to only last as long as the Disneyland version did, and it stuck around because the way the theater is designed there's not much else that can go there without a complete teardown and rebuild to provide more appropriate facilities. You had those orchestral events for one summer but nothing ever since, probably because the labor was extremely expensive at some $250 a night per musician, and reactions were tepid at best. If anything before they put something different there, that theater needs a redo.
