This video was filmed and edited to show all the fails/mishaps that happened during tonights 9pm showing of Fantasmic.

**This video is not meant to complain or ruin the magic for anyone. I myself work in live theater and know mistakes can happen. I made this video to capture the moment and show people what I experienced. No matter how many mistakes are made, this show continues to be one of my favorites.**

As someone who worked in live theater as a performer and did lots of tech stuff as well, I would've loved to watch this happen. Part of me is cringing, and the other part is like "I wonder what it's like to perform with that show when that kinda stuff happens. What are their protocols? How stressed out are the techs?" It's really cool that you got it on film. I love Fantasmic, and when it works right, the show is wonderful. But it is kinda cool to watch it go wrong.

You do realize its a live show, correct? Just saying
Yes, if you read my post I state "**This video is not meant to complain or ruin the magic for anyone. I myself work in live theater and know mistakes can happen. I made this video to capture the moment and show people what I experienced. No matter how many mistakes are made, this show continues to be one of my favorites.**"

I agree, like I said I myself work in live theater. Tech to be exact. That is why I was so "excited" to actually get to experience a once in a life-time show. I can tell you a bit about their protocols. Everything at Disney is based on the guest experience and the cast's safety. During the few minutes between the fail show, and the one I caught on film I can almost guarantee they were checking up on Mickey to make sure they were okay.
They were also lucky that they didnt get to a point in the show with pyrotechnics, because they only load enough for that performace, and if they would have shot them off, they would not have been able to start over.

I feel so bad for the performers. :( It is clear that something went terribly wrong and they were trying to hold the show together as best that they could. Bravo to them for continuing on with the show!
I hope tech is able to find what went wrong and fix it so that this doesn't happen again.

This was absolutely amazing to watch. I also find it fascinating to see the back up procedures go into motion when the usual program goes wrong. All in all this actually wasn't that bad of a show. I would hate for the dragon to be stuck out on stage (unable to go back into the mountain) and still try to continue the show like in some videos I've seen. Still, I agree with jaklgreen, the dragon not working was the worst part.

And could the person filming shake any more? Wow, this video is annoying. Had to close it.

Fantastmic...great show and like everything, sometimes has a bad day.

This was interesting to see. I thought the way they contunued the show was impressive despite all the hurdle. I specially like their quick thinkign with putting Maleficient up there since the dragon wasn't around, and her covering her face for the transformation.

I wonder what could have gone so wrong that affected the dragon, the lift and fireworks though, something with the tech that controls them maybe.

I think there were still issues with it last night. My sister and nephews were there and she said it wasn't working as normal.
