Fantasmic Dinner Package

Are the seats you get with this really worth it? Do you still have to stand in line and wait forever to get good seats? Any advice from those who've participated greatly appreciated!

It was totally worth it for us. We finished up dinner, rushed over to the preferred seating entrance, were allowed right in, and were able to grab seats immediately. i.e. no line-no wait...well, except for the small wait for the show to start, but we were already in our seats at that point. We had our preschool age kids with us and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way.

The preferred seating portion of the stadium (on the far right the nt we went) was the only part that had open spots and CMs were turning away people for regular seating by this point. As for the view- while it's not one of the central sections, we still could see all of the show.

We don't plan on doing Fantasmic on our upcoming trip, but I'd definitely do the pkg again.

I believe it IS WORTH IT!!!
We did the package in 2008 ....and that was when Fantasmic! was nightly.
I can't even imagine the hoards of people trying to see it now when it is only once/twice a week!!!!
I haven't seen it since 2008....and have no plans to see again without doing the dining package.

I also agree, to me my time is worth it. I know people who think is a waste of money and the seats are not that good. But if I am going to see Fantasmic, I will be at DHS long enough I need to eat dinner. So I get the dinner package. I have waited until 15 minutes before the show to enter and get my seat, with no issue. Just make sure you check the menus first as to pick the best place to eat for your family.

We did this for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and this is likely the only way we'll get to Fantasmic! from now on.

There were 2 shows (7:00pm and 8:30pm) the night that we went, and as we walked down Sunset Blvd. at 5:40pm (yes, 5:40pm!), there was already a HUGE queue for the 7:00pm show. While others waited for an hour and a half, we saw the 5:45pm Beauty and the Beast show, then walked in via the 'special' dinner package entrance, stopped to talk to BatB cast members backstage, got seats without any wait, bought concessions and relaxed for 20 minutes until showtime. This was like a Fastpass to us...we were very happy with it.

Yes yes yes yes definitely do it! If we don't do the dinner package, we do not see Fantasmic due to the overwhelming line waiting for it-it's insane. Definitely take the time to enjoy some DHS TS and avoid waiting in line! The seating, at least whenever we've done it, it at the top right of the theater which also makes for an easy escape.
Enjoy!

The Fantasmic Dinner Package is the only sane way to see Fantasmic anymore. We did the package several years ago when the shows were held nightly. But this twice a week thing is robbing alot of people from seein this show. Last year we were going to wait in line because our kids still have not seen Fantasmic. We saw the line extending all the way down the street, but opted not to wait in line for 2 hours standing in the heat with our 9 & 4 year old. To me that line is just 2 hours of wasted time at the DHS. So, this year when making my ADR's (I booked them online) I made a reservation for Hollywood and Vine. Great! But there was no place to select the Fantasmic Dinner Package. I called later that day to try and upgrade my reservation to the Dinner Package and by then they were sold out. They told me that I could check back but those seats are a hot commodity right now. So we switched the dinner reservation to Cape May Cafe, which is one of our favorites (and better than Hollywood and Vine) and will hope they will add another show on the day we will be there. GET THE PACKAGE AND ENJOY THE SHOW!!

Definiately worth it!!! For all the reasons everyone has already said!!! My first time I stood in line and had to stand at the back (bad view) so the next time I got the package! Will always go for this option now!

The week we were visiting, there were 6 Fantasmic! shows in 5 days (2 on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings), but despite these 6 performances, the queues were very lengthy! Get the lunch or dinner package even if you see 6-8 performances planned while you are there.

Last time we was there we missed out on 2 shows because of how packed it was. So this time we are doing the package for two reasons. One it was to busy for us to get in and two it is only playing one time during the week we are there. So I can't imagine how busy it will this time, so this will guarantee us to get in.

Totally worth it! We did it for years, and then last trip we didn't, just went standby. It was nuts! With the dinner package you get a great meal, get admitted fast and you don't have to be a part of the rat race, packed crowd Fantasmic line.
I would reccommend Hollywood and Vine. Food there rocks! They give you a little ticket and you get entry right away. The reserved seats aren't right in the middle, but the show is great from any angle. If the meal sounds good to you GO FOR IT. I wouldn't reccommend doing it just to see Fantasmic.

I can't even imagine the hoards of people trying to see it now when it is only once/twice a week!!!!。。That's so unbelieveble..

It's only twice a week now!? That stinks. I saw it for the first and only time in May 2009 and was not overly impressed, but now that it's only twice a week, I'm pretty sure that I won't be seeing it again.

As for the dinner package, I think it'd be a whole lot more enticing if the seats were front and center.

It is totally worth it !!! the line for fantasmic is starting around 1 hour for the show, if not more. You invest a lot of money when you decide to travel and you have a limited amount of time at the parks, which means your time is worth gold. Anytime you can avoid waiting in line for over an hour with hoards of guest, you should jump and take advantage. If you were planing to eat at a sit down restaurant for dinner in the park anyways, it is a no brainer. You are only paying for the food, there is no extra charge for the package really. The experience is very good. About 30 mins before fantasmic you go to a special entrance with the voucher the waiter will give you when you finich your meal. They let you enter a special area just for the package, which is towards the right of the stage. Seat are good and by the time you enter that area, the rest of the theater is standing room only and packed to the max. I can't stress this enough, buy the packege, you will be very happy you did !

Many thanks to all for the input. I had no idea what a great little gig this is. Having kids, that hour plus wait would be a killer for them and me! :brick: :hammer::( :zipit:  So....it's a no brainer...I'm in! I would rather sit to the side than wait over an hour for front and center anyday! :sohappy:

It was worth it for us. We ate dinner at MM at 4:30, then shopped for a while before heading on in, no line, to our seats. We sat about 1/2 way up, next to the reserved seating rope, and we could see everything just fine. Once we were situated, I took the "golden ticket" with me to get snacks at the concession stand. There are also CM's who bring around snack to sell. Be sure to take the ticket with you if you get up because you'll have to show it to get back to your seat.
