Fantasmic Dinner package

The Fantasmic package can be booked at Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose, or Brown Derby.
You can use the DDP for all 3 restaurants. Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose are 1 TS credit, Brown Derby is 2. All are very popular and book up quickly.

Up above (lol) since you are the premium member..what do you recommend? I've been going back and forth on doing the Fantasmic Package also but I keep reading against it....one because some posters have said the food isn't worth it at Hollywood and Vine nor Mama Melroses...second because the seating (even though you are supposed to be getting preferred seating so to speak for buying the package) just isn't worth it. What do you suggest?

The food at H&V was not really very good and the service was somewhat slow, but it may have been an "off night". The seating isn't really preferred, but it's guaranteed. The seats were off to the right of the stage at the rear of the stadium. It was quicker to exit at the end with that seat location.

It's not even really guaranteed though either, is it? I thought you still had to be there by a certain time before they gave your seat away. Granted, it's certainly not 90+ minutes like without the package, but still.
On the other hand, you're not paying extra for the package, so if you like those restaurants, it could be worth it.

There's not specific seats. You just have to be at a certain location by a certain time, and they let you in prior to the big group at the main entrance of the show. The 1st year we did the bundle and it was ok, but the 2nd year we didn't do the bundle and had to wait in line for about 90 minutes or so. This year we are doing the bundle, and it is only 1 TS btw.

My family booked the Fantasmic Dinner package with the Dinning Plan at Mama Melrose and was very pleased.
It was only one credit and I believe that we received more food than a typical one credit table service meal would allow (appetizer, entrée, and desert).
The reserved seating for Fantasmic was also very convenient and easy.
