San Angel Inn sounds interesting.... any info on it would be appreciated - and mind you, my sweet is a vegatarian - so if anyone is familiar with the menu, that would really help... :)

Make sure you make a reservation. It usually fills up fast. The menu has all kinds of choices for the meat lover and vegetable lover. When making a selection they can replace most anything that contains meat with beans. What type of vegetarian is your sweet? Does she eat fish? Does she still eat dairy products?

Here's a little joke for you:

A man and a woman are seating in a restuarant and the waiter comes over and asks, "Would you like to order?" and the woman replies, "Do you have any selections for vegetarians?" and the waiter says, "Oh so you don't like meat?" and the woman responds, "No, I just hate vegetables."

been playing around at www.disney.com and these seem the most interesting so far:

California Grill

Artist Point (though I'm not sure how many vegetables they have :)

Coral Reef Restaurant (again there's the whole vegetable thing)

anybody have any first hand experience dining at these places? i want to make reservations before we leave...

thanks so much :)

Both were envolving the service staff. Once was the hostess the other was the cocktail waitress. They were rude, snobby and plain just didn't seem to care. This was within the first 18 months the restuarant was open but that shouldn't matter. I have not been back since.

Fair enough. Like I said, most people on these boards have had a great experience at CG so I'm sure you'll have one as well. But you're right, sometimes my luck goes that way.

Let me know how you enjoyed it when you return. Have a great trip.:)

For menus and some (read a few) reviews, hop over to www.wdwig.com where you can find fairly up to date menus of all of the restaurants in the wonderful world of Disney. It has a ton of information and is one of only two sites listed in the Unofficial Guide to Disney World. The present site being the other of course.

popkid, my daughter is a vegetarian, so I'm fairly familiar with the choices. In June, everything was tofu!! Each restaurant prepared it a different way, but that was the vegetarian choice. Last Fall, it was pasta, again served differently at each restaurant. It(the tofu) was very good at Coral Seas & Brown Derby, terrible at AKL fast food area. I think most restaurants will also give you just vegetables; they also allowed her to order grilled cheese from the children's menu.(but she's only 17 & tiny) Hope this helps. :)

BTW, if you hear a middle aged lady singing yo ho, yo ho a popkid's life for me on pirates, that's me!;)

Why don´t you try Ohana´s at the Poly? You could watch the fireworks from there too.... The menu is mainly vegetables and they bring you chicken, pork and salmon and shrimp! So if fish is on her list, she can have tons of it! I personally love the menu there... They have this delicious banana bread baked in their oven.... mmmmm!!!!:p
