Famous Faces in the parks

One Little Spark...
In 2010 I was there for the special Star Tours Shutdown called "Last Tour to Endor"...I:

Rode Star Tours in 2010 with Jon Stewart (didn't even realize it was him until he was "spotted" in the gift shop by someone else, and bid a hasty retreat)

Saw Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Seth Green, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Warwick Davis, Jeremy Bullock

It was a blast.

I love to pat myself on the back a little on this one... My wife and I have been to two Pirates of the Caribbean Premieres at Disneyland... We walked the red carpet, went to the pre and post parties, and saw the films sitting about 75 feet from Jack Sparrow himself (for the short time he watched, at least). So we were rubbing elbows with all sorts of people all night long. I've got pictures with quite a few. I've got one with Martin Landeau... My wife has one with Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, etc. Plus I've got quite a few with "Disney Celebs", like Tony Baxter, Bob Iger, Marty Sklar, and that sort. Not to mention the countless celebs we ate dinner near and walked past all night.

But the coolest moment I have to tell you all about. After the movie was over (the third one), they kept a whole section of the park open for an after party. But hardly anyone stayed. So my wife and I were eating and drinking and riding rides with no lines and having a blast. It was close to 1AM, and we were pretty tired, so we decided we would ride HM one more time, then head out. We were maybe one of 50 people left in the entire area of the park, so naturally there was literally no one anywhere close to HM. We walked in, and stood in the holding room before the stretching room to wait for the door to open. A couple seconds later, in walked John Lassetter and his family. His wife and kids. The stretch doors opened, and we all went in, and enjoyed the ride together, just us and his family. We said just a few words to each other, but it was very cool. We rode in the doombuggy next to his, and rode a classic DL attraction with the closest thing to Walt that we all have left. Definitely a moment I'll never forget.

My Dad always tells me and my Mom about how Brittany Spears was performing one year in Tomorrowland, before she was really famous and obviously went a little downhill. To this day he keeps saying, "If you two hadn't wanted to ride The PeopleMover, we could've gotten her autograph!"

Other than that, we've never had the pleasure of spotting an actual celebrity at the parks. I do recall from a year or so ago hearing that Lady Gaga stopped by the Magic Kingdom for a short while, as it was en route to her concert in Tampa. I saw a picture of her posing with the Snow Queen from Snow White.

I saw 5 time Olympic Champion Sir Steve Redgrave at Disneyland Paris once. We didn't speak though as I believe that everyone wants quality time with their familly and shouldn't be pestered when enjoying down time.

...And here I've always assumed that Britney Spears and PeopleMover were the same thing o_O
