WE usually always eat at the liberty tavern charcter dinner, usually when in epcot we eat at the italian resturant. WE do have a certain way we go about doing the ride order in magic kingdom and epcot. we always go to old town (off property) our first night and downtown disney our last day.

Also, at MGM we eat at the Sci-Fi cafe; and take our picture in front of the Muppet Fountain in the same place every time. It's fun to compare all of our old pictures and see how we've grown throughout our trips.:)

YES! Sci-Fi is a must! I love that place.

A fountain Coke at Casey's (the best mix in the world!), a soft pretzel at Germany, and reciting the Spanish in the Monorail.

I thought of some other traditions since I started this thread:

While my parents check in my brother and I always walk down to the pool and stake it out for the coming days.
The first and last nights we eat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse
We always go to the Magic Kingdom on the first and last days
We always make sure to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi and Rainforest Cafe in DD
Every year we ride ToT over and over again until my brother can't take it anymore. Then my dad and I do it one more time to beat him!!
Every year my dad SWEARS that he's gonna do RnRC, waits in the line with us, and as soon as he sees the cars take off, he chickens out and my brother and I go on it by ourselves.
My mother always makes friends while she's sitting on benches waiting for us on the other rides

I'm sure there's more that I'll remember later!

In my family we always:

1. Get turkey legs
2. Eat at Cosmic Ray's for lunch whenever we're at MK
3. My mom likes to buy her ornaments for the Christmas tree when we're down there, especially the ones with the year on them. She also likes the buy the photo magnets with the year on it. Oh yes and her golf balls and antenna toppers
4. Get FP's for RnRC, ride ToT, ride RnRC, get FP's again, ride ToT again, and ride RnRC again
5. MY personal tradition is whenever we go to DTD I must get my chocolate milkshake from Ghirardhelli's. I even got it this past December while everyone was having coffee (not a coffee person) so my hands were freezing :hammer:
6. Oh yes, we must get Mickey Waffles for breakfast at LEAST one morning while we're up there.

Think that's it!

On the first night, we have the character dinner at Chef Mickey then head to the MK to see the fireworks (we always go for the 4th). Oh and we always have citrus swirls. (thats a must on every trip to the MK)

Also, we ONLY eat at Pecos Bill, Cosmic Ray's and Tony's Town Square for lunch (I know we are seriously limiting ourselves but old habits die hard) We always get hot dogs from casey's before leaving the MK for the day

We always go shopping at DtD on our last full day.

.:sohappy: :sohappy:

How could I forget, I always get an ornament for the tree each year. Good thing I'm reading other peoples family traditions and remembering some of our own. :hammer:

We do that too! I don't know how I could have forgotten that one. We always get a dated one. Now our tree is practically a Disney tree.

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I get ornaments too! I've collected Mickey Mouse and Theme park specific ornaments since I was a kid. I have enough to decorate a 13 foot Real Christmas tree ever year (complete with monorail around the bottom). I'll have to get my pics posted soon to show you guys.

That's fabulous!! That's my ultimate goal. I still have a ways to go to get there. Plus, I have to find a house with ceilings high enough to fit a 13 foot tall tree!
Good for you, can't wait to see the pics!

we have so many, itd take forever to write them all down. But the one that is the weirdest is that before we get off the monorail, we always bark like dogs. Awhile back the monorail used to say "please disembark..." or something to that extent. And my dad, the corny guy that he is, would always start barking. So ever since I was a little kid I have done this with my dad and my sister, while my mom just pretends not to know us. So if i've ever been on the monorail with any of you, you can feel safe now that you know you weren't standing next to a bunch of crazy people on the way to MK... just a bunch of people with a stupid sense of humor.

This is about as minor as you can get but bear with me:
Whenever I'm at EPCOT, I pick up 5 'Curly Wurly' candy bars at the British Tea/Candy Shoppe. My family and I share them on the car ride home.

The 'Curly Wurly' is (basically) the Brit version of the 'Marathon' bar. When I was a kid the 'Marathon' bar was my absolute favorite candy. Not to be confused with the wretched new Snickers Marathon Energy bar, the original was chocolate and caramel and a foot long. It is tasty and excelent and perfect for sharing. Yumsville.

Not terribly exciting but we've been trying to look for new traditions for the kids to pass along to their families when they have 'em.

Glad I reminded you guys :). We definitely get dated ones or special event ones like the 30th anniversary of MK or the 100 years of Magic. And like you guys, we are also headed for a Disney tree. Do you have the solid-colored ornaments shaped like Mickey? They're gorgeous and the little ones come in packs of four. My family always says those are their favorites. They're mine too :D .

To get back on topic, another tradition we have when we eat lunch is that we always get chicken fingers because they are irresistible :slurp:, and it helps that I'm a chicken person. My mom says she's surprised we haven't grown feathers

The OLD tradition was to eat lunch at Liberty Tree, every day there. Since my 3 year old was born, the NEW tradition is to eat lunch at the Castle. She loves it, but I miss Liberty Tree.

We always get ice cream, on Main Street, on the way out of the park.

We always like to start off every trip with the Magic Kingdom. We hang a right at the end of Main St. and cut across the Plaza Resturant headed toward Tomorrowland. Then we always head on into the Tomorrowland Interplanetary Convention Center to enjoy our first (and best) attraction of the trip..................:lookaroun

CRAP!

I guess it's time for some new traditions :animwink:

One of my own little personal traditions is to always get one Mickey Premium Bar at the parks and one of the Disney Chocolate Bars at the resort. I also enjoy my late night park trips when the rest of the family is back at the resort. I usually pick one attraction per night and try to ride the heck out of it until closing.
