So did anyone watch family guy last night? 3 disney movie references. Quagmire was with his new girlfriend in the ball scence from beauty and the beast, then the scence from tony's in lady and the tramp. And finally the magic carpet scene from aladdin. I had to chuckle cause they were all in a pretty positive light except for the anti air rockets that went off over iraq while they were on the magic carpet. Its pretty funny that when seth mcfarlane's show (family guy) is much much more crude and vulgar than the simpsons yet the simpsons is usually taking shots at disney. I thinks its pretty clear that seth is a disney fan.

I enjoy both shows, but the it seems like the Simpsons has been going down hill. That Family Guy episode was great. I was watching with people who know I am a Disney fan, so they understood when I laughed a lot more than them.

I had it recorded so my girlfriend could see it too. As soon as she saw the ceiling in the ballroom in the beauty and the beast scene she knew what it was. All she could say was oh no what are they gonna do!? I was really shocked that they didn't do something shocking.

IMO:

The Simpsons, this season, have actually seemed to improve, from the past couple of years before it.

Family Guy hadn't impressed me much this season, save for the "Trivial Pursuit/firetruck" episode, and this past Sunday's. :lol:

I'm not so sure...remember the episode when Peter and Stewie went to Disney World... there were some major potshots at IASW and Eisner. Extremely funny however.

You never outgrow certain things! The humor is on several levels. (mostly sophomoric, but still several levels)

Seth McFarlane is my age, so a lot of the references are straight out of my childhood. I love it :lol: Down to the old commercials :lol:

^^ Exactly why i love that show. its like he is going in my head and bringing out old memories of shows that i barely remember. ex: great space coaster....Although i was let down by no gary gnu.
