Fall for us in Magic Friends

Baloon centerpieces sound like fun - and relatively inexpensive. We did flowers (carnations) and scattered confetti all over the tablecloths.Cleaning up was a nightmare or so I've heard.

The centerpieces are under $7.00 a piece.
Can't beat that!

Thanks. We like to go to craft fairs. But the only thing we ever seem to buy is the food. Kettle corn (YUM!), apple fritters, bloomin onions, caramel apples, fried pies. Need I say more?

I had kettle corn for the first time the other day and I loved it!
I loved the sweet taste and it's much healthier than the buttery stuff!

So much cheaper than flowers and they can look classy too!

My mother wanted roses floating in little bowls - the one and only fight we had about the wedding. I finally convinced her how much easier and inexpensive this was. And thank goodness for my maid of honor, who took the time to fill the balloon bases with sand to weight the centerpieces down.

I'll never forget decorating for the reception, though... we had miscounted how many tablecloths we needed, and had to call early Saturday morning begging for more. Even thought the store wasn't even open, the owner very nicely let us come and get what we needed. But that was a stressful moment. :dazzle:

We decorated the night before, right after the rehearsal. It was quite stressful. In fact I was surprised that Dave showed up the next day.

Yay! I love your daughter!!!!

I'm kind of partial to her myself. :D
We've really had fun cutting corners. And she's very open-minded about suggestions. She's definitely not a bridezilla!
After her shower I had so many comments from the guests about how truly appreciative she was and how much joy she got out of opening every gift. I was very proud of her.

DD is that way - almost to a fault. She's the queen of bargains!

DS is quite another story.....

Yaay! Sounds like you have every right to be! She must take after her mom.
I attended a high school friend's wedding, and you could cut the tension with a knife. Everything was fretted over, I was so glad when that day was over.

I think when you plan things to death and expect perfection you wind up ruining the day for yourself. It can't live up to those expectations!

So, how are those plastic canvas magnets coming Dot?

No plastic canvas allowed!

Now Dave's mother is back to making things with it too to help her finger dexterity. It's going to be an interesting Christmas!

And it is only ONE day - you'll be married regardless. That's the important thing. But she and I lost contact a couple of years ago - I got a Christmast card from her, but apparently she and her husband had moved. I haven't heard from her since.

Aaaand real quick story. So last night we were at our friends' place and were looking at some of their wedding gifts. They got these beautiful monogrammed towels, and it dawned on DBF & I what ours will be. His last name starts w/ an "S", his 1st initial is "a", and mine "s".

  Our monogram is going to be a S s !!!!!!!!
