Have you shared what the ring looks like yet? How did he do it? (If you don't want to type it all again right now you can PM it to me later.)

I am good.. work is the pits but I am surviving until something else comes along. Family couldn't be better. DS is sleeping through most of the night and DD started preschool. She is growing up way too fast.

That could very well be.
The first time I ever had a panic attack, it was in my sleep. I have since read up on it and it seems I was probably dreaming about something that was just so awful, I couldn't handle it. When I think of it, I get an image of a big wooden door with a heavy metal latch. The door is set in a stone wall, like you would see in castle. The door is unopened. Probably, the night I had the panic attack, I opened the door. . .

Panic attacks are awful things....Mike has had them and we thought he was having a heart attack - the signs are exactly the same.

Love you Rick!

Indeed.
I've read that the accelerated heart beat that accompanies an attack is the fastest you can have and still survive. I do believe it is true. I remember lying in bed next to George, unable to even let him know what was happening, and just thinking that I was dying right there and then. Very, very frightening.

 How absolutely beautiful!
Ok, well. He actually wasn't planning to do it tonight, so it was really spontaneous. He got the ring today and couldn't wait.

We went to dinner, and then went for a "romantical" walk along the water overlooking the city. DBF....I mean DF :sohappy: suggested going over the little fence and sitting on one of the big rocks to relax and look at the city. Then he just started staring at me and started crying. (At this point I basically knew what was happening. ) He told me that he'd talked to my Dad this evening (when he "went to drop off his dry cleaning"), said some more stuff about loving me and not wanting to imagine his life w/ out me, got on his knee, and asked me....right across from the Empire State Building, it was beautiful. He was so nervous. And then was so excited. We skipped out of the park.

:o :o
Jo - that is PERFECT for Steph!

D'OH! I was TOTALLY about to do this! Great minds think alike, Rick! ;)

I watched that movie and "The Wedding Planner" in the week leading up to my wedding. I'm such a corn-ball! I have "Somebody's getting married" in my head for months!
I've been humming it since Rick posted it.
