Ok, well. He actually wasn't planning to do it tonight, so it was really spontaneous. He got the ring today and couldn't wait.
We went to dinner, and then went for a "romantical" walk along the water overlooking the city. DBF....I mean DF :sohappy: suggested going over the little fence and sitting on one of the big rocks to relax and look at the city. Then he just started staring at me and started crying. (At this point I basically knew what was happening.
) He told me that he'd talked to my Dad this evening (when he "went to drop off his dry cleaning"), said some more stuff about loving me and not wanting to imagine his life w/ out me, got on his knee, and asked me....right across from the Empire State Building, it was beautiful. 
He was so nervous. And then was so excited. We skipped out of the park. :lol:
