Kudos....it's always nice to run when you have a connection to the cause.

The only cold weather race I run is a 5 mile Turkey Trot on thanksgiving day. 2 years ago, we ran that race through the snow, which made it interesting. I plan on doing more outdoor training than ever this winter.

Running for a cause is always a good thing..

I run 3-4 different 5k's in the winter...almost every holiday...Halloween, Thanksgiving, xmas, and usually something around New Years.

I run in anything, last winter was good though not a lot of snow. hard to run in the deep stuff but i have done it, high risk of injury though. I have a set of metal spikes that attach to my shoes for storm running but i try and avoid it, on the real horrible days I have to resort to the treadmill. I have never run in a race. just not something high on my priority list.

Fall / Winter is where I thrive. I have a 50k, 50miler, 100miler, and 200 miler all before December.
My mother-in-law had, and defeated breast cancer, so I've been wanting to do an official Trans-Con (East coast to West coast, roughly 3,000+ miles) to raise money for breast cancer research.
