Eyes on the Rides

Do you ever find yourself speed-walking, or even subtly jogging :) toward an attraction line when you notice other people coming from the opposite direction?

I did it at Space Mountain, I admit it. They were making a b-line to the entrance and I wasn't about to let them beat me.

I get accused by my wife of speed walking all over the parks even if there are no lines. I am constantly having to slow myself down so she can keep up.

LOL! You and my DH! He's 6'4" and I'm about 5'3", so his long legs take him twice as far per stride. I'm always power walking just to keep up with him!

I try to avoid the large groups if I can, especially the HUGE annoying South American tour groups. I swear there were more yellow backpacks going towards EE then there were APs a week before....

Now that I sit in rush hour traffic everyday for 45mins (each way) I am a lot more tolerant of the Disney lines. It's a strange phenomenon!

I walk "briskly" at WDW and " a bit briskly" at school. Students who pass me in the hall ask why I'm walking so fast and always another student (who has been to WDW with me) scoffs and says "You should see her at Disney!" I'm a 2X lady, so maybe it's an object-in-motion-tends-to-stay-in-motion thing:D

19 days until the "yellow limo" is ºoºrlando bound (27 teens-school bus-930 miles of smiles:hammer: :sohappy: )

:rolleyes: I Admit it. I also do that if i see a large group is coming my way. There's no way i want to be stuck behind them!!!
How ever I know its a dog eat dog world but i really get annoyed if someone else has the same idea and b-lines right in front of me only to stand there and wait for the rest of their party.:hammer:

Yep! I do it and force my husband to, also. I've learned the hard way that you have to develop survivor techniques at WDW and that is just one of them.:cool: :D

i do it most of the time -if im on my way to a ride and these people start making there way over with 5-6 kids, hell yeah im gonna speed up. other than that im not a person who rushes anywhere. in WDW i only do it if there is no queue and it feels as if everyone else has that same idea as you to get to the ride as fast as they can coz you can see them all moving towards it like the blob!!!:lol:

I quite literally run as fast as I can to Soarin'. One time last trip, I was one of the first in the park (otherwise, I would have run into a lot of people!). I clocked myself at 53 seconds, from park entrance to Soarin' Fastpass machine. :lol:

Whats worse is when your standing in line and about 15 people that the person in front of you is with cuts right in front of you becuase that person in front of you was aving them a spot.

Is that allowed? I think I'd have to speak up if someone tried that.

thats happened to me before on the safaris in AK and believe me i spoke up. i had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours and this couple just pushes in in front of me -i wasnt having any of it i tapped the mans shoulders and said "what do you think your doing, youve just pushed in front of me now get to the back" i also said "youve just pushed in front of me (i was by myself) and these women who where behind me and we've been here for ages so get to the back of the line" at this point they just looked at me but they moved coz even though i kept calm in the heat it felt as if everyone stopped to look and i couldnt care less.

going back to the quote yes i have and will say something plus its a different story if people push or "fall" into you.

this thread is funny!:ROFLOL::ROFLOL:
i THOUGHT i was the only one who did this. I dont do it alot , but sometimes I do especially if I see a large crowd approaching, when I know I am going to have to wait behind them :ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:
