Extra Magic Hours

I notice when reading about the extra magic hours, it always says 1 hour early and up to three hours after park closing. The "up to" part leads me to conclude that the park may be open 3 hours late that night or possibly only an hour late. How do we know how much longer it will be open?

I have never heard of the park being open less than the three hours-it is always the three hours (from what I have seen and heard).

If you want to know for sure how long the park will be open, check with a CM on you way into the park, or call the Front Desk.

They say up to 3 hours because if somewhere along the road they want to be able to cut it back they can without much uproar or change the name of this perk. You know how people can get, they'd have their underwear in a bunch if it said 3 hrs and didn't get a full 3 hrs, they'd want their 3 hrs. and would make all sorts of demands and want freebies to compensate them for not getting it. That being said, I can say since they started emh, it has always been 1 hour in the am and 3 hours in the pm.

It is my understanding that all 4 of the parks take turns opening early and staying open late. So whatever time AK closes on it's day to do EMH, then ya...although I think they sometimes have regular operating hours up to 7 PM, which would have them being open until 10 for resort guests.

It will stay open 3 hours past the published closing time. It is quite a different world than the daytime.

Actually, AK has been staying open normally until 8:00 lately, thus EMH goes until 11 pm.

When you think about it, now that EE is open they can justify staying open that late.

I had heard that they say "up to 3 hours" because some of the rides may close early, due to whatever reason. However, the park is always open for the full 3 hours:wave:

yeah, for the evening EMH, I have never heard a park not staying open less then 3 hours...but I have heard of rides closing early.
