I cannot believe how rude some of you are.. it was a simple question and an extra $15 per person adds up to an extra $45 dollars for the extra 3.. some of you act like thats nothing!...
As if disney doesnt try to screw you over and squeeze out every dime from your pocket, but when I try to squeeze something out of disney, some of you act like that is an unspeakable thing to do!...
To the nasty responses.. thank you so much for your info but we'll do things our way like we always done!
To the kind posters thank you for your valued information, we decided not to do it and save all that disney hotel money all together and stay at an outside resort..I appreciate your MATURE responses
Hey buddy, this bar is great, isn’t it? Listen, that’s your sister over there, right? Yeah, I’m thinking about buying her a drink, but slipping something in it so she’s easier to…you know…so, what kind of beer does she like? Hopefully something cheap, like Pabst…HEY! Whoawhoawhoawhoawhoa, calm down dude! Drinks in this place are expensive! If I had to pay for every drink it’d take to get her effectively sloshed, I couldn’t give her cab fare tomorrow! You don’t want her walking home, do ya? Fine, I’ll take her to the dive bar down the street , they’ve got 3 dollar pitchers till midnight! There! Ya HAPPY?
Aaaaaaaaaand, SCENE!
There are certain types of comments that are prone to rankling various members. There’s the post that talks – or brags – about breaking the rules (pool hoppers, you know who you are). There are people looking for advice on breaking the rules (I am NOT waiting on those lines next week, anyone know where I can rent a wheelchair/stroller cheap?). Once in a while, you get a twofer (we’re going during free dining, we’re saying our 12 year old is 9 for the cheaper ticket, but he doesn’t want to eat from the child’s menu! How can I rip off WDW coming AND going? HELP!).
The OP is a twofer: “We’re not all paying for the privilege of staying onsite, but we DO want all of the perks of staying onsite. Is this possible?”
So here’s the deal, yeah, we may all have some invisible line of morality, and your line and my line might not exist on the same plane. Maybe I draw the line at bringing old refillable mugs back. Maybe not even that. Maybe I think everything is permitted. Maybe I think The Great Santini was too lenient. Whatever.
But if/when anyone decides to talk about breaking the rules – regardless of how the OP feels about those rules and whether or not they’re worth breaking – EVERYONE’S allowed to pile on. EVERYONE’S allowed to show where their invisible line is. And if the OP can’t take comments about their lack of morality any given issue, then don’t comment.
Personally, I would’ve offered the same advice many others did, though I would’ve tried to stay on the kind side – you can’t get EMH without a room card, the Values are too small for 5 anyway, if you’re caught, they’re gonna make you get another room or move out so why risk ruining your vacation, etc. What irks me is the OP’S subsequent comment. His/her comments make it seem like he/she thinks going to WDW is a right, not a privilege. Look, I’d love to go to WDW at least 2 weeks every year, and always stay in monorail resort suites on the deluxe dining plan. Can’t afford it, so I don’t do it. I go when I can afford it, and I stay where I can afford and for the length of time I can afford, and if I have to wait another year to afford the trip I want, it’s what I do. It’s what grownups do. Yeah, WDW IS expensive, and if we as a nation decide to blow WDW off until their prices are more in line, they’ll find a way to cut prices I’m sure. I feel the same way about sporting events & most concerts, I think prices for the most part are crazy, and I rarely go to stadium events unless I can get some legitimate deals, certainly don’t go to scalpers or somehow-legitimate “ticket brokers.” But I’m in a distinct minority there, and as long as people are willing to pay a hundred dollars for nosebleed seats, some bean counter’s always gonna say “why not see if we can get $110?” I don’t scream about it, and I don’t try to sneak in, I just don’t go.
You’re not going to get my sympathy because you were talking about breaking the rules and people complained about it. ESPECIALLY because, the only reason you’re no longer breaking the rules is because it wouldn’t work out completely in your favor: “oh, 5 of us can’t get in to EMH because we’re only paying for 2? Fine, we’ll stay offsite. HAPPY NOW .” It practically oozes contempt for us for pointing out that you want something for nothing. Breaking the rules with impunity is not something MATURE people should do, so your making comments about MATURE responses is kinda laughable.
