also the place in the early 70's that had the live band playing hip music while you ate ( she termed the music as "mod gogo music".)

That's probably the original Tommorowland Terrace, now Cosmic's...in the 90's I worked during the transition to Cosmic's and a couple years after, we had a band too in the summer playing pop/Latin cover music.

yes from the early 90s its about her bday. believe it or not they also had a live show where barbie went around the world. there were two versions, both on youtube

Thank you SO much Frank! You are flippin' awesome! And no worries on the dates... trust me I know how real life intervenes. I'd like to believe I have unlimited time to work on my site but I don't get to update it but maybe once a week and even then that's sometimes missed.

Now the fun starts to begin... you all have given me SO many places to include and if you've seen my site, you know it's not just a "list" I'll be putting up. I get to sit down and do all sorts of research now and find pictures etc.

And that leads me to my next topic... anyone have any photos of these places they'd like to share with me??

The only eateries at WDW I remember that carried Minnie's name were in the Village.
Minnie Mias Pizzeria which was in the now Lego building facing the Empress Lilly.
And in the spot now taken by Puck's Express, which has this history:

my mother has a special request: the Crystal palace restaurant before it went to Winnie the pooh. also the place in the early 70's that had the live band playing hip music while you ate ( she termed the music as "mod gogo music".) also king Stephan's banquet hall, which is now cinderellas royal table

AFAIK, the only change at the Crystal Palace was the addition of Pooh. (which took CP off of our breakfast list!)
The Cinderella change was (IIRC) more than just the name. Breakfast and lunch were added, and Cindy got backup from the other princesses. (it also started a major flame war on RADp between Howies Angels and his opposition, but that's another tale)

The band's at TT/Cosmic Ray's included:

Dallas Sound Track, Kids Next Door Show, Tomorrowland Terrace Rock Band, Nick Russo & Gabriel’s Brass, Michael Iceberg, Tabasco Sonny Eclipse & the Space Angels
