Express Monorail down all morning

I was at WDW today with some friends, express monorail not working at 9AM, had to take the Ferry in the morning to MK, then decided to take the resort monorail, the express monorail was still down when we left for Epcot, saw a few monorails just in random places on the track with the drivers just sitting there...not sure what was going on.

I don't think it was planned at all since this is the start of Christmas week.

Friday and Saturday they were running pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise. You could call that magical. I wonder what the issues are. Did they ever make it so the doors close automatically? ALL the doors? lol!

You can say they aren't magical, but when I was 7 the first time I went to Disney world I thought I was floating in the air. It was a packed Monorail and I couldn't get next to the window so all I saw were sky and clouds and then it went into the contemporary.. I was like this is amazing...

Since when aren't the monorails down?:ROFLOL:

Anyway... I'm sure there is a good reason for this one.

Express only has two stops...ttc and mk so you get to where you are going as quick as possible

Thanks much...when did they start doing that? Will make travelling from MK to Epcot a bit speedier....WOO HOO!!!:king: Now if they could only have a non stop express......sigh.....

1971? 1982 at the latest? They've had the express line for as long as I can remember...

Epcot riders must exit a dedicated Epcot/TTC monorail at TTC, and board a separate express TTC/MK monorail. Poster needs to understand no monorail goes direct from Epcot to MK.

Express Monorail was not "down all morning" in fact it ran just fine all morning. It did stop briefly to add trains onto the system at different points in time, but that was all.

Exactly. I was able to watch the transfer for the first time. It was rather cool to watch. I rode the monoral 10+ times in the past ten days and never had one stop once.

The Monorail is not magical anymore

Our last two visits experienced the Monorail being down either leaving or attempting to reach the Magic Kingdom. Each time we had to take the ferry to or from the TTC. We find this frustrating to say the least. :hammer: :brick:
