( guess that is fast if your comparing it to space mountain instead of top thrill dragster)

also i heard it does use lims to go through some scenes inside the mountain, similar to mummy at universal...

Thnx AkEverestAK, at least one other person heard that. I know the Mummy will use similar technology, but I didn't think I was confusing the two. I'll try and track down where I read it.

Indeed. It should be comparable in speed to R'n'RC which does 57MPH (according to the RCDB )

Man I didn't know it was going to be kind of like the Matterhorn...To tell you the truth this project didn't really interest me, until now that I've heard the plans for the ride. I can't Wait....

Actually it will like a cross between Big Thunder and Maelstrom. The Yeti will be Disney's largest AA over 30 ft tall. And he actually takes a swat at the train as it goes by.
It will be a great ride for a hot day. The temperature inside the mountain will very cold in some sections.

Thanx:)

"LIM" stands for "Linear Induction Motor"

(AKA...the launch on Rock N Rollercoaster...but NOT like the launch on HULK which uses a series of "tires" to propel you)

Hmm. A 30 ft Yeti. Most Yetis in books are between 8 and 12 ft. Now a 30 ft one will be something. Sounds like more like Kong.

WOW. I cant wait till it opens!! It sounds sooo cool!! 50 MPH isnt bad at all. I mean, that is really good for disney world, since it is an actual track, kind of like a rollar coasters.

Sounds like it's going to be a little more intense than Thunder Mountain considering it goes around 60 fowards and backwards. Can someone tell me what a 80 ft drop is compared to somthing else?! :hammer: stupid me

Depends on the angle of desent. It could be a long desent at a lower angle or a quick one at a more intense angle. Let's hope for the steep one.

It's about time that Disney adds an attraction like this. I have thought up the idea of a coaster/dark ride combo ages ago. I'm sure the Imagineers did too. But it's nice to see it finaly being brought to reality.

See, if they would have hired me as an Imagineer, we would have seen these attractions years ago! :D
