Expedition Everest Noise

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, so here goes.

Has anyone else noticed that the suspension of disbelief at some places in Asia is broken by the screams coming from Expedition Everest?

Don't get me wrong - I absolutely love EE - everything about it. And the updates to the surrounding area of the park. It's great.

But last month I was there, and strolling through Asia, I was admiring the theming and trying to imagine that I had left WDW and was wandering through someplace remote on another continent, and really enjoying the moment, when the "aaaaaaaaaaaah!" came through the air from EE. And I thought to myself "that's really a shame, I wonder if that could be fixed somehow".

Anybody else notice this?

People scream on rides, I mean you can't really fix that. It's just something that goes along with a theme park, even Disney.

It adds to the experience. When I hear the screams from E:E I just think "Those pesky tigers must have grabbed themselves another villager for lunch again."

I know people are going to scream on that ride, and I think actually it adds to the experience when you are in the EE area of the park (that darn Yeti is at it again!).

But I thought that some kind of sound absorbing or deflecting barrier, or inverted wave cancelling device or something could be devised to lessen the negative affect in the places over in Asia where it's supposed to be quiet. I mean, I know it's a technological challenge, but hey, it's Disney, right?

Tell all the 8- to 16-year-old girls that Zac Efron is over at MGM doing HSM 2 in person. That will clear the screamers out of AK.

So screams take you out of the moment where a giant sound barrier wall would not? Maybe they could play Tibetan chanting monks or something. Of course, 8+ hours a day of that would drive cast members to suicide...but who cares, right;)?

I think that there is already some kind of background music at that point - I seem to remember sitars or something - I could be imagining it.

The sound barrier could be cleverly hidden - I believe the spot I am talking about is on the other side of some trees from E:E. I wouldn't be surprised if WDI did that on purpose to minimize the effect, but for me it is still too noticable.

And an opposing wave system just has to have speakers - easy to hide.

A few Solutions:

1) have anyone that wants to ride EE have their voice boxes removed
2) As Mentioned Before Duct Tape with disney characters on it and they could charge 19.95 a roll
3) Recruit the Gentlemen from the Episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the one where most of the episode was silent)

4) Ban Screaming of any kind.. you scream you get put on IASW
