like maybe you could be like in the forest, you see some animals like tigers, bats, animals indigenous to Asia

A good idea but it sounds a bit too much like Rainforest Cafe to me ... let's hope the food is better.

And as for the general idea of a restaurant, sometime soon hopefully, but not now. Though I enjoy AK, and defend it to the death, I don't think it's quite ready for a sit down restaurant.

Obviously, this restaurant would be more suited for dinner, and considering AK closes at 5 or 6 during off season, it wouldn't make too much sense. Now if the success of EE brings longer hours, some sort of (quiet) night time show, then by all means, smack a restaurant right in there. But for now, with some good counter service food, Rainforest Cafe next door, and AK present circumstances, an AR type restaurant wouldn't make too much sense.

I am almost certain that with Everest we will begin to see some later hours for AK. Which is great as the park is really beautiful at night.

Thanks Yen Sid1 for the great photo. Do you have anymore that are not yet in your album.

Also, this might be a little off-topic, But I think lots of Kali's problems could be solved if they integrate Kail with Everest.

In a way it will be. Everest will be very visible from parts of the rapids ride. It will certainly give you more to look at.

This may be a little more off topic, but along those same lines, I've always really wanted a "multi-part" ride adventure. It always seems that the shortness of a lot of these ride experiences takes away from the immersive adventure, and I wonder how amazing it would be to have an attraction that includes for then one ride. Imagine, for instance, if a ride like Everest and a ride like Kali were combined, so that guests had to ride Kali to get the the base of the Everest. That would be a complete adventure.

The Western River Expedition area was supposed to be a "multi-part" ride adventure. I'm really upset that everyone wanted Pirates of the Carribean instead. We would have gotten it eventually and probably a better version too.

I've never heard of the "Western River Expedition." What was this concept? I'm guessing you're taking about the time when our version of Pirates was being designed with a limited budget, and that this other attraction was to be created instead, but Pirates was created due to public pressure?

Western River Expedition was supposed to be where Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is. In fact, a Big Thunder type ride was supposed to be part of it. It was also supposed to be a big mountain with a PotC style ride themed to cowboys and indians that would be inside the mountain. There was also supposed be a walking trail. I believe the project was set to be built and everything. I believe that model of it was even set up in Main Street somewhere. Unfortunately, public pressure won out in the end, and intstead of a promising, unique new ride experience, we get a rushed, mediocre version of PotC. :brick:

I agree with you there, and lol, i agree with you too about Rainforest Cafe...it was good, but then it turned blah...but anyways, no, when I said that, I was thinking as though you could have like a regular terrace, or balcony or what not, and the whole place would be themed to a wildlife reserve mess hall, and you get to see some decorations like in the Tusker House, that they have maps of the area of Africa (Asia in this case of course), and some other things, like Indian, Buddhist relics, things like that; BUT the main attractor factor for people, would be you, being on a terrace that spins around, like the Garden Grill over at The Land, and you'll get to see the animals, and it would sort of have like a romantic/adventure and comfortorable feel. Sure, they might have some little tiny nets like window screens, or glass to prevent misquitoes from getting in at night, but with the glass or whatever, you'll still be able to see the whole animals surrundings. I think it would be pretty cool if they do it like in some bamboo forest, so they can like import Pandas, some sloths, tigers, bats, etc., all in front of, or around a waterfall or themed rooms where the animals are gunna be. It would a huge success, I will tell you that!

PhilosophyMagic- Yeah, I've always toyed with that idea as well, and I think, since the storylines of Everest Kali can interconnect, and with the trouble that people don't find themselves wet after riding, or that it's too short, it would be a great and smart idea to join one mini water adventure, and expand and join forces with Everest to create a huge adventure! It will surely be interesting if they do that!

Good ideas never die. Several of the show scenes from Western River Expedition ended up in the World of Motion.

Wait, did I just say good ideas never die?

One of the things that I find most puzzling about Disney attraction construction in the last 20ish years is that they haven't followed the Blue Bayou model (and improved upon it).

Dining inside a disney attraction is cool. I wish there were more opportunities to do so.
