this post is finally as dead as the yeti
What? The yeti's dead? NAW! he's just hibernating! After all, he is part bear!
We know that Everest is closing after Avatarland opens. The question is: What will the yeti be like after the refurb? I think he'll move, but it won't be the same animation as when the ride debut in 2006. I think the moment will be limited to mostly his arm and the "Boom" behind him will remain stableMy prediction: The yeti will never be restored back to A mode. Ever.
Disco Yeti is most likely here to stay permanently.

Do we KNOW that? It's been discussed as a possibility online, but I haven't seen anything official from Disney yet.

Disney also released several Discovery Channel specials - all. about. the. yeti - they were the ones espousing on how grand and fabulous it is. Some of the blame needs to be laid at their feet.

I rode It around 2-3 weeks ago, there was no smoke, the bird wasn't moving and the waterfalls wernt working either.
So, how's the yeti?

i heard from a friend who is at AK today that the yeti is covered up with something, any confirmations on that?

That's irrelevant. It has been worked on before.
I know he's been covered before, but I thought that Everest would remain as is until Pandora opens. It is possible they might be doing On The Fly changes to Everest so it looks good to hold the crowds when Pandora opens? :look around:
