People are always going to be stupid. So as bratty and disrespectful as some of the guests are, it's still on Disney to pick up the trash.
I think (don’t quote me on this) that the giant Bear Man or Yeti at the end of the ride hasn’t worked quite right for a little while.I've had a lot of recent reports that some of Expedition Everest's effects are not currently working.
As of 15 April 2007:
- No steam effect at load
- Second waterfall not running (near the back of the mountain)
- No bird at the track end scene
If you ride Everest, and can provide an update as to what is and what isnt working, please do so here. Thanks![]()

Surely Now Pandora has been open a year, they can close Everest and go be it th refurb it really needs
Don't worry. There was already hundreds lining the rock formations on Sunday.Cheerleaders are coming. Get ready for more hair ties.
Why? Is there anything wrong with it?
i think and hope that was sarcasmThe yeti AA has been down for years.
I think the Yeti may have been partying late the night before our visit this past Tuesday and needed to sleep it off in a cool, dark room. Either that, or the strobes were off - as we couldn't see a damn thing. I'm going with the former.
The Yeti is in line in Pandora
Maybe it's just like a light switch. But sometimes they just forget to turn it on.Anyone know a correlation between when the yeti is completely off or when it’s got strobe lights on it? I feel like it’s completely how the operators are feeling that day. First time I ever rode EE in 2013, the lights were on, but the times I went on last year, they were off.
It's been 20 years Disney! Which means the yeti has been broken for, what, at least 19.5 of them. And that darn bird must have dropped off it's stick by now. In the words of Rafiki, 'it is time'.
Man I feel old now. We visited AK on our first trip in 1998. Well, my first trip. I was 9. It was so packed, we stayed for probably an hour before heading off. Honestly can't believe that they'd leave stuff broken for that long.
I've never seen the bird. Does anyone have a picture of it? Does it actually exist or is it a fabrication?!
