I guess this is a major issue for me.

Roy's efforts have all been based on argumentum ad misercordiam and much false to the theory of untestability.

In other words, Roy has been very good at an apeal to pity....the FANS like him, he is a Disney. He offers "sunshine and rainbows", and the fans feel that if they support him, all will be better. Yet really, what has he offered....he has bashed a lot, but where are the solutions, and anything he points out to be "wrong", may only be wrong from a fan point of view. Sure, Eisner got a 41% no confidence vote......funny, this would mean the most of the financial institutions voted to keep him on (WDC is 67.85% owned by banks and brokers).

Roy was on the board for a LONG time. He had the ability to make a difference, he did not. (Roy was also Chairman of the Animation Division for a long time......not much success there either)
Very valid and good point. But I I don't think we can down play 41% no confidence vote. That was a HUGE slap in the face to Eisner and his ego. You don't see that very often and It was mentioned in ever major business magazine. That was a major accomplishment for Roy and Stan to pull that off.

To what Woody stated, Eisner cannot be under estimated. He countered Roy and Stan and avoided a coup.

And lets not forget...Roy put things in motion to oust the previous CEO and bring in Eisner...(and everything seemed to work, for a while, things were much better)...things change...after Wells death, Eisner changed....and here we are...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a Disney has more to lose than an Eisner when it comes to a company named The Walt DISNEY Company...

Just MY opinion.

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
I gotta say... I voted the way Roy & Stan wanted us share holders to vote... and they made some very valid points during there never ending hissy fit... but still... I gotta say... Roy is/was a very bitter man.... and maybe now since he is standing down, his blood pressure will drop a bit as well.

I guess until he admits that "he was part of the problem, but he has seen the light, and is trying to find a solution", he has no credibility with me.

Ahhhhh, too bad that line of thinking did not work for Pete Rose.

From the way outside looking in, I think Roy and Stan come off as the two muppet guys in the balcony, good for a laugh but for the most part, insignificant. Where Eisner seems more suited to Beeker. A brilliant, if not misunderstood individual. Since my Disney experience lives in the Eisner Era, I stop, stand, and applaud.
