It was in an Orlando Sentinel article that you can find on another thread. Here is the part of the article pertaining to EVEREST:

"Rohde, who headed the Disney creative team on the Expedition Everest project, said the ride will be a "fast, freezing" adventure. Although the coaster's top speed will be a relatively modest 55 mph, he said, the thrills will come when riders "fall fast in the darkness and the cold."

The ride's theme "story" involves the folklore of the legendary yeti, or abominable snowman. Guests will ride an old mountain railway from the foot of Mount Everest's icy canyons for a "face-to-muzzle" showdown with the creature. "

Cheers!

Ah touché! ;) I knew I read it somewhere, I was just too lazy to go find it again  Thanks :)

I've got some more recent "inside" info from an "inside" source to add on here:

Construction has started with some small scaffolding taking shape, and a 15 ft by 10 ft piece of the mountain shell is already up. There's "themed" debris scattered all over the area with a chain linked fence surrounding the site. It's bigger than originally estimated, at 2 acres or more, and there are also some construction tents up.

The area is crawling with WDI staff and the WDI AK office parking lot is crowded daily with more and more cars showing california plates, which means more and more WDI staff is being sent to FL.

Sounds like the project is going to be pretty decent. I'm still shocked by what was confirmed, and i was thinking of something alot different.

The Ride story/ and system sounds allitle weird to me, By the time the ride is done anywyas ill be off to college :(.

construction has been banning for ages, and some of the reliable sources tell us that its a coaster type ride.... Features stuff as intense helixes... some drops.... probably some of the same qualities that you will see in Thunder Mountain or Matterhorn?
The Ride Manufactuer/AG
will most likely be Vekoma unfortinutely, Although there is a great possibility it could be from S&S/Arrow or Intamin, Due to how Disney use to have a strong relationship with Arrow Dynamics, and is now pretty impressed with how Intamin has run things lately.

I'm sorry if it's been posted somewhere, but does anybody have a definite description of where the construction is taking place?
