This has definately been answered several times I'm sure. but quite frankly there are so many posts about everest now that I've become confused.

Is everest open to the public, or just AP holders and CMs?

I'll be there next week. and I'm tryign to plan my park trips.

Currently the ride is in "soft openings" what that means is that when it is open, it will be open to the public, however there is no guarantee that it will be open before April 7th, which is the grand opening date. Belle

The "soft opening" answer is exactly correct. No one in guest services will give you a firm answer about when it's open or even if it's open. They all say exactly what Belle said. There's no guarantee that it's open, but if it's open then it's open to everybody.

Rode it TODAY for the first time. I enjoyed it. It's not going to replace Rock 'N' Roller Coaster for me, but it was fun.

It should be open. This past week everytime I went (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) it was completley open... and I had heard it was the rest of the week... so the chances of it being open are pretty high... but don't be disappointed if it isn't...

The week we were there it was open most of the week. Lots of people in the park, but ride lines were short. I overheard people talking about "It doesn't open until April, we'll get to ride it then" or "It's just testing, it's not open for us yet". I tried to tell a few of them that we had been on lots and they could too, some looked at me like I had a third eye, one couple actually told me I didn't know what I was talking about and only people with "special passes" were riding [silly me... no special pass and we rode 18 times... waddoIknow?]. I gave up, more rides for us  :sohappy:

How long was the wait for the three eyed people?

As a three-eyed person, I found people tended to part like the Red Sea as we approached, thus the ride was always "walk-on"

Actually, posted waits ran 20-30 minutes most mornings, but were usually about 10 less than posted, and increased to as much as 70 in the afternoons. Afternoons were FP time... and sometimes the FP return time was sooner than the standby wait showed!
