Based on another thread, wanted to get an idea of who else has ever spoke with a rude or unhelpful CM at central reservations.
For the most part we have always dealt with very nice CM but you had "ever" and I had to be honest. About two years ago, while waiting in line for BTMR, we were able to witness first hand a rude ride operator. There were a few asking for specific seats (front or back) and while I know that they are not obligated to meet requests there is a nicer way to say it. He to let them know that they were going to sit where he put them no if, ands or buts. He even got mad at somebody who was just standing in line with a family member but didn't want to ride. I think he needed a hug...
Agreed...I don't think it's necessarily that they are rude...it's that there are some who really love the job and you can tell it from the way they talk and there are some who are just doing it for their paycheck. They aren't rude, per se...they just aren't as helpful as someone who loves what they do. But it's like that way at all jobs, not just Disney.I haven't dealt with anyone rude, just a gentleman that was totally void of any emotions, information or help. I was trying to adjust my room with the annual passholder rate when it came out for the dates of our trip this past April and his answer was, "there are none, they are all sold out for that rate...." long silence until I said "Okay..." It sat wrong with me so an hour later I called back and spoke with a woman who was so into helping me, kept me on the phone for 45 minutes and worked out a deal for 6 of the 7 nights we were booked.
I guess it all depends on who you get, either someone who is really into their job and someone who really could care less.
Mostly it has been positive except for 2 experiences:
1. Gentleman who knew very little and didn't care to find out the answers to my questions about transportation, just knew his standard spiel.
2. Very nice woman but made many mistakes: had I not been paying keen attention my ADR for a Candlelight Processional dinner package would have been on the wrong night and we would have been charged for not showing up. She booked the wrong night and I caught it when she quickly repeated everything.
But, the hold music more than makes up for it IMO!!
