This is a very stretchy stretch, but here it is:

I was at universal, and was flying back home to pittsburgh. We had a connection in NYC, so we stopped there and then went back home. On my plane, one seat in front of me, was Elijah Wood. My most recent celebrity sighting.

On our honeymoon Michael Jackson and his entourage were holed up in an upper floor of the dolphin. We were at the swan. Never heard about him going to the parks or anything.

I have seen Johnny Depp at the Grand Californian in DLR on 2 separate occasions. Never took a picture because he was with his family. I wanted to run over and mobbed him, but my polite Disney side stopped me. Both times the rest of guests just glanced over and went about their way too. Also caught a glimpse of Armie Hammer on RSR while in the standby line. I never saw any one famous at WDW, except Mickey, of course. I think I get more excited seeing the mouse.

Once after waiting in line for awhile for Peter Pan's Flight a group of people came up to the front of the line and were escorted right in. I asked around and found out later it was Wayne Brady and his family. Another time I was there while Oprah was taping something at the Magic Kingdom. I saw her from a distance on a balcony I never had noticed before on the back of the Castle. Cinderella was with her. Took a couple blurry pics of her.

I saw Michael J Fox walking around Tomorrowland last Saturday 10/11. Once I realized who it was I turned and he was walking into the Tomorrowland Speedway entrance. Sadly the only reason I noticed him was from the way he was walking.

Never understood the impulse some people have to run up to celebrities and take a picture. Wow, you saw an actor/actress. let them enjoy their private time with their families. Having a story saying you saw them should be good enough. Now if they're going around having fun with people and offering to do pictures that's different. But if they're just there minding their own business I tend to leave them alone. I've run into celebrities in other venues before. Never have I thought "zOMG, I must go take a picture with them."

He was at the California Grill a few nights ago too.

This may not count since I was a CM at the time, but when I was on my college program, I was working retail at RnRc. I was at a side register, and while there, a guy came up to me with one of the logoed baseballs from our giftshop. He asked for a pen, and when I asked why, he said that Tia Carrera (from Wayne's World and True Lies) was in the back of the gift shop and he wanted to get her autograph. He pointed in the direction of his wife, so I thought he was kidding saying that she looked like Tia Carrera.

After a minute, when no one was at my register, I was wandering the store straightening up items, and spotted Tia. As CM's, we're not allowed to treat celebrities any different than normal guests. She was casually trying on hats with her friend, so I made some joke about the hat, and wandered back to my register. She later came to my register to check out and even chatted with me for a minute!

She was there because at the time, Lilo and Stitch was getting ready to premier, and it was the last animated feature actually completed at DHS, so all of the stars were there doing photoshoots and what not. She was very down-to-earth and relaxed, and honestly was mostly going unnoticed by people (I think because she didn't have an entourage or anything and was just walking around casually with her non-famous friend.

I came across a few other celebs during my time as a CM, but that one was definitely the most memorable.

On our last trip we saw Brian Wilson at DTD, he was a pitcher for the SF Giants at the time and now with the Dodgers. And also saw Michael Strahan at MK, former NFL player for the NY Giants now NFL analyst and host of Live with Kelly Ripa. Strahan had LOTS of security and assuming Disney executives with him (wearing really expensive suits), they took some pictures and shot a little bit of video outside the Little Mermaid ride then took him and his family in for the ride. A couple days after we got home my mom said that Live with Michael and Kelly was at the MK.

Almost every trip we see someone or "hear" of someone being there, on our honeymoon we were at V&A and Burt Lancaster and Sidney Poitier were having dinner that was pretty exciting. We've seen Randy Travis, Sarah Palin, Kelly Ripa. It's pretty fun spotting someone.
