Ever see someone get busted at Disney?

There are those too. Some frequent interactions were dealing with the "I didn't do it" bunch, who suddenly transformed into "I was going to put it right back" once surveillance footage was shown. Don't even get me started on the "I was going to hold it in my (purse, pocket, stroller, bag, you name it) until we reached the checkout counter" spiel. Funny how often that line gets blurted out as the person gets caught after exited the store itself.

In many jurisdictions, it is not shoplifting until you cross the front door with no intention to pay.

Unfortunately, since humans are not perfect, it may be exactly what has happened. We were born with two hands and if we have to hold onto three things or need our hand free to look at other things, we tend to find a spot to put stuff that will carry it for us. Then, nature kicks in and we forget we even picked it up. I have done that twice over the last three years. I didn't intend to steal anything, in fact, as soon as I noticed that it was there, I turned around, went back in and paid for it. Not everyone is a crook, some just have problematic short term memories or are easily distracted. So, I do indeed believe you do hear that often, it just that sometimes it is the truth. And until they clear the doors, it hasn't been shoplifted yet which is why you have to wait until they do clear the door.

Me too. I was looking around a store and had something in my hand and then I got a call, went to walk out of the store. But thankfully I realized that I still had it in my hand before I got to the entrance. I would never steal anything and it it kind of gave me a mini heart attack to think that I almost shoplifted. Some of us do have morals and occasionally make mistakes.

I got busted at PI. I was by myself and had started hanging out with a guy and we were up at the bar (maybe BET soundstage?) Another guy came up and started talking to me and I said I would buy us some shots. The shots come and I turn and the guy is gone, so I hand it to the first guy. Turns out he wasn't 21 and it seemed like within seconds security came and got me! I had to leave for the rest of the night and they took my 7 day ticket, so when I could go back the next night I had to buy another one.

I'm amazed anyone tries anything remotely shifty at Disney World. I got busted once for almost taking an alcoholic drink out of the park (some amazing fruity red thing from Food & Wine). It was a total accident, and I was mortified. And then another time security (or someone official looking) confronted me as I was about to bring a drink (diet coke for the record) into the Living Seas pavilion. Again, just not paying attention to what I was doing and/or what was allowed. And in both cases, all I had to do was throw my drink away and move on. But the swiftness with which they descended upon me was disconcerting. Big Brother is watching at Disney World.

During college it was one of the last year's Pleasure Island and my girlrfriends and I went down for Spring Break. Lots of college students in sori g break - shots were done via test tubes, down hollowed ice blocks by "lifeguards" in lifeguard chairs, and over behind was a couple of guys uriniating on a palm tree. They were escorted out.

For anyone interested (if for nothing else than morbid curiosity), there's a book on how to do various illegal and/or immoral things at Disney Parks called "The Dark Side of Disney", which includes some stories of certain things done on property.

(Please note I'm not condoning doing or trying to do any of said actions in this post, but just because people in this thread seem to be interested in hearing about these kinds of stories I figured I would mention it.)

During a spring trip back in 2009 we witnessed something rather odd. We were on a walkway between Main Street USA and Tomorrowland waiting for Wishes. There was this young couple up against the railing who at first we thought nothing of. As the fireworks began, an older man who was with them pulled out a small piece of paper and started reading something off of it as the couple embraced hands. As it turns out he must have been some legal minister of sorts, because they were getting married right then and there!! No gown or tuxedo, just holding hands as he quietly conducted the speech during the show. It was not bothering anyone, and it was rather cute to watch. My wife commented afterward how special that must have been and congratulated the newlywed couple. Others around us shook hands with and congratulated them. It was no distraction, just magical to see a couple get married during Wishes!
But no less than 15 minutes later ((crowds were really heavy, and we had not made it to the hub of Main Street yet)), two security persons come up and were talking to the couple and the gentleman who performed the wedding. Next thing you know, all 3 are being escorted away. The security were not happy, but we could not hear the full conversation. That was quite possibly the oddest thing to date we have ever seen while at Disney. We did not see the couple again, but a lady who overheard the conversation with officers said the couple had no permission to be married there !
To me it was not a bad offense. But what things have you ever seen if any that involve security at Disney escorting people away? Have you ever seen someone get the big "BUSTED" treatment while at WDW?

They must have done something, Disney does not mind this, I know some of y'all are going to argue they do. I have seen it done many times. This past weekend I saw it happened again at Cinderella's Wishing Well, probably 15 people total it was quick no longer than 5mins maybe. They exchanged vows put rings on and kiss each other and on they went, I know because this time I knew the parties involved. I know I have mentioned somewhere on here before Disney does not mind as long as it doesn't interfere or cause safety/security concerns.
