Ever revisit a restaurant and wish you had skipped?

Never had a bad experience.Thankfully. We're trying to get to every restaurant on property before we die! LOL.:D:eek:

We started out trying to eat everywhere and do everything also, but overtime we started acquiring too many favorite restaurants. Now, if we can fit something new in (in each visit) it's a major victory. Leaving the parks to go have dinner in a resort is so time consuming, and the parks just don't offer enough quality (or variety) to our liking (hoping Be Our Guest was worth the aggravation of getting the reservation).

Yes, definately the Yachtsman. First experience in 2011 was excellent, great steaks and friendly service. Opposite all round in 2012 though - steak not so good and VERY poor in my daughters case and service grovelly but condescending. If we'd been paying oop it would have gone straight back.

Won't be returning any time soon - there are many places we haven't yet tried that deserve a chance.

Isn't it funny how more tolerant we are because we're on a "Dinning Plan". When my kids order something and than don't eat, it dosen't seem to bother me as much as it does at home. I have to remind myself sometimes that I'm paying $100 a person (the DDP), per day for it, and I should try to get my moneys worth. When my 2nd lobster came out worse than the first at Narcoossee's, we simply just left (without even a complaint). If I was paying out of pocket that night, I'm sure I would have gotten to know the manager pretty good.

Very true. And we also use it to try things we aren't sure if we'll like that we probably wouldn't normally risk. We do only get the ddp when it's free though.

You must not have eaten at Tony's yet. Tony's is consistently below average. You'll get a better meal (and pay less for it!) at the Olive Garden.

I do believe everyone should try everything they want to try. And, like you, I set goals to do all things Disney and checked them off as I went, lol. So I'm not saying you (or anyone) shouldn't go to Tony's. But I'd put it on the bottom of the list. :)

It was Rose & Crown for us. First time was very good, second time was terrible. The food simply wasn't done. We waited forever once we were seated. I suppose they got a late start. I still may give it a third chance and hope for the best.

My husband and I did the Delux dining so we did Lunch and Dinner every day at Sit downs and Liberty Tree for Dinner was great Lunch... Not so much

We live in the heart of PA Deutschland so Liberty Tree just never held much interest for us as it is kind of what we see on every darn menu here...the ambiance seems nice though!

We are in the same boat. The first time was siblime and the second one was just so-so but being that it followed up the previous trip it seemed just soooo dismal. We may do it once more just because of it being such a great venue to view Reflections fireworks but the new menu was less than impressive versus the previous offerings in 2010.

This would be the same for me as well. We have had some extremely average meals but nothing to the point of being bad. Things like chef Mickey, Hollywood and vine, Sci-fi I would call disappointing but not bad.

The Hollywood and vine lunch would be my choice for a place we should have skipped. We went 2yrs in a row and everything was really good. We decided to go back and it was meh... So we go back again (shame on us) because my son loves the Jake, Manny... thinking the last visit was a bad service, and it was even worse. Like most character buffets it has slipped into complete mediocrity, this one (and chef Mickey) more than most.

First time in 2006 we ate at San Angel in Mexico and really enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Then in 2010 we went back in the spur of the moment due to a thunderstorm and they had a cancellation,so we dined again but we ventured into La Cava for an after dinner tipple.. Oh ma heid.." San Angel, you've been living hell to me."

Oh I totally agree! I love Mexican food and was soo looking forward to this. Loved the pyramid and the atmosphere. However the food was AWFUL!!!

Several.

I've mentioned in many threads my current distaste for Chef's de France - and unfortunately their full tables is telling the management that hospital food is the way to go, so that isn't going to get better...

Last trip, while I liked what I got at both at Le Cellier & La Hacienda at return trips, neither is worth a 3rd visit IMHO.

My feeling has always been that they think a cheese plate and french ambiance is enough to pull the wool over peoples eyes. I have had good French cuisine and this is not it. We tried it three times hoping that we had just stumbled upon a bad night in the kitchen but after three times I think we will steer clear from here on out.

Mama Melrose! The last two trips were really disappointing, relative to all previous great experiences. We are still going to give it another try, but are replacing it with Tutto's for our next trip. Tutto's really disappointed on our only time dining there, and we are willing to give it one more shot.

Mama's is our only example of "one extreme to the other" as far as experiences.

Heard that! The place is SOOOOOO cool we always consider going back! Even though the food REALLY is fair at best. That atmosphere really is grand....guess they don't have to fix the food?

Huh, had a great meal at Mama's on our past trip. It was our first time there and the Calamari was excellent and my steak was very good as well. I guess it just speaks to the inconsistencies that DDP has promulgated throughout the dining experiences in the parks/resorts.
