How is this enforced ?

I can understand how they can keep out non-Disney Resort guests in the morning but how do they manage it the evening when the park is full of people :veryconfu

Thanks

The scan your room key and then they give you a wrist band. Once the time rolls around for the other guests to be out, only guests with the bands can ride and stay. EMH at night is really just for sites for me. The park is still crowded and the wait times are pretty high.

I guess it depends on when you go. I've seen some long lines and other times it wasn't bad at all.

Best bet is to nap the hell out of the afternoon, go to EMH but look around for the first 60 to 90 minutes. That's when I noticed a lot of people burning out and leaving, giving you half a chance to hit acouple of e-tickets.

They don't keep people out.

Anybody can be in the park to eat, shop or enjoy the sights. You must have a wrist band to ride the rides and see the shows. You have to have your room key scanned and have valid admission to the park for that day.

So if I don't get to the park UNTIL evening EMH starts, is that a problem? Or do I have to get my wristband ahead of time?

You can still get into the park after EMH has already started, but you need to have your room key. They'll give you the wristband upon entry. They'll give out wristbands until about 30 minutes before the end.

And anyone can stay to shop, eat, look at the sights. I've done it more than once.

I've noticed that with it being colder out at night, a lot more people will leave early on.

We love EMH. This past July was the first time we evr rode Buzz Lightyear because the kids never wanted to wait in the long line. With EMH Buzz was a walk on. Now the kids don't mind waiting in the line.

An important thing to note here is you need to have the park hopper option on your ticket. Otherwise it'll use an extra day off your ticket.

Sorry, but that's not correct info.

If you have visited this SAME PARK earlier in the day, have exited, and are RETURNING to the SAME park,
it is NOT considered an extra "day" (regardless of the time you choose to enter).

If you were at a PARK ("Park A") earlier in the day, have exited,
and are attempting to enter a DIFFERENT park ("Park B") for EMH,
if you DO NOT HAVE A HOPPER,
you will NOT BE ADMITTED to the EMH park ("Park B") at all (your non-hopper will be rejected at the gate.)

You MUST have a HOPPER in order to SWITCH parks on the same day
(even after midnight in the EMH park is still considered to be "the same day.")

You can upgrade to HOOPER at any time during the first 14 days after your first use of a Magic Your Way ticket.

Very true, I was answering it figurring that since they weren't there for wristbands they weren't in the park yet that day.

Yes, but even that is incorrect,
as if they don't have a HOPPER,
it won't use "extra day" of the ticket...
They simply CANNOT ENTER without a HOPPER.

And if they had not been in ANY park earlier that day,
they would certainly use an extra day off ANY kind of ticket going into the EMH park.

I had always been told that you can use an extra day to go to another park if you want to (although not somthing suggusted). It doesn't seem like a bright policy to refuse service to someone.

Tickets that do not have a the Park Hopper Option added to the ticket can not use multiple days to enter a different park. That would be Park Hopping. If you hold just a BASE ticket, it is 1 theme park per day even on EMH.

NO! It is only for resort guests. I've heard stories of CMs getting in big trouble for having the wristbands unless they themselves are staying at a resort.

Please don't ask CM's to do any favors...

Wouldn't dream of it. Was just curious because as some previously have said, sometimes it can get pretty crowded. It makes sense for CM's not to be able to get them when it is supposed to be an extra benefit for resort guests. I know that CM's are blacked out from even entering parks with passes during the really busy times (i.e Christmas week)

Thanks for answering my question

When did they first start scanning the resort ids. I remember they use to didnt do that, and then one trip they did, and then another they didnt. Sometimes they barely even look at it to see if its still valid.
