Can anyone help??

We are a family of five tavelling to Eurodisney in April.

Has anyone taken an organised daytrip to Paris from their hotel? If so how much was it and was it worth it etc?

What is the best way of getting from CDG to Explorers hotel, and how much would it cost?

Where is the best place to buy park tickets?

Thanks

Very quick as I have a crying son right now. Yes, Disney do a day trip for about $80 a person that takes in the main sights, time to explore Notre Dame, a trip up to the 1st level of the Eiffel Tower and a boat ride. If you want to do other stuff, there is a direct train service from DLP to Paris, so that may be an option.

CDG to Explorers - there is a bus (check the DLP web site) or you can take the TGV train from the airport to DLP (expensive)

Best place to buy park tickets is DLP itself (your hotel sells them). There are not really any discounts out there, and getting tickets from anyone other than DLP (or the partner hotels like the Explorer) can be a real pain in the butt due to language issues.

Have a great time.

BTW; it`s not Euro Disneyland anymore (thankfully). Disneyland Paris

For a daytrip, if you`re savvy with the free maps available, you can catch the RER train from outside the park gates. This is part of the Parisian Underground (subway) network.

You`ll have a blast! And welcome to WDWMagic.

We went to Disneyland Paris in 2005, arriving at CDG expecting to get the train to Disney! We didn't really know where we were going and we are normally a family that plans ahead! Anyway, at the airport there are buses with Disney all over them, that look like they might be just for the purely Disney hotels, but they aren't, the buses run to the Disney hotels and the others on site, including the explorers. It isn't what I would call expensive, though I can't remember exactly how much. Just make sure you have some Euros in cash at the airport. You can probably find the prices from your hotel, or somewhere on the internet.

We also went to Paris for the day. We went to the train station and bought an unlimited day travel ticket so we could use transport on so many different 'lines' into and around Paris. We then went around the sites we wanted to see and went back in our own time. There are probably more organised trips around too. The man at the train station didn't speak great english, but I spoke some French so we managed, maybe try and your hotel so you know exactly what to ask for iif you take this option.

Have a great holiday, and stay safe in Paris :D

This still bothers me. As a CM we are expected to educate guests in that it is no longer Euro Disney, but now Disneyland Resort Paris. Right - see it hasn't been called Euro Disney since 1994! Press ads and commercials play all the time as Disneyland Paris. Where abouts in the deep backs of their minds to they dig up the name from. The operating company is Euro Disney SCA, but guests don't see this. I guess its stuck with a few all this time...

Now what did that guest have an enquiry on...? Ah... yes... Walt Disneyland,

:animwink:

Possibly the ironwork around Lake Disney? :D

- it`s so ornate I don`t mind the initials. On a similar topic, you remember when SM had DM on the cars? I only found out recently how close Discovery Mountain came to staying; the arched sign was actually installed then removed.

-just another boring bit of trivia
