I think they filed a similiar permit before many of the Project Tomorrow exhibits went in, so finishing that area is a possibility.

I wonder what they're up to.

Hmm... neither the link nor the OCCompt site is loading for me.
Same here.

Doubtful the permit has anything to do with it, yet... I wouldn't have expected it so soon. Post-show work does indeed sound like a reasonable conjecture...

If you follow that link you'll see that they only take responsibility for the "Epcot" sign and the lighting on the hand. It says nothing about the wand. My guess is they were the ones to replace the 2000 that was originally up there.

This is likely for June 22 and June 23. The electrical package could be a precursor to the construction work they are doing for the rehab....it could also be fixing up the lighting for the globe. *coughfadingcolorscoughcough*

Don't read too much into it.
Considering the amount of work going on....they're gonna need a LOT of electrical help.

None the less...it's still there. :(

Ermco is just your basic electrical contractor. They must have the lowest bid. It usually Tri-City or Ermco, they use the cheapest labor around. Se Habla Espanol???

Something interesting....According to the Expedition Everest link on the first post, they mention that they helped build a Nextel system, I guess this means that they have some more cell anttena's on the Mountain, not just the fake tree tower.

Maybe they are just setting up emergency lighting for the construction crews on the refurb? You will need a lot of lighting if they reposition most of the AA's, and do a complete wardrope change. Not to mention all of the rest of the work that is going to take place. I think that it is going to be one of the most extensive rehabs in such a short period of time.

That is correct.

ERMCO is just an electrical contractor. They don't build anything, they just do the electrical work boys and girls! :) It is common for them to put in permits ahead of time as the electrical work for something (it could just be an electrical rehab) is one of the first steps in any project.

ERMCO also serves as event house electricians at many special events on property.

ERMCO runs network lines for pretty much very business in Orlando....

last time I saw them, they were connecting a new POS terminal for coffee sales in a remote location.....

perhaps every permit filed is not an E-ticket! (but you idiots will still report them)
