please stop ramming narration down our throats, yes reflections had this, but the story was far better.
ROE had opening narration - but not narration throughout the show.

I’m still confused why they can’t do the celebration portion of ROE within other Epcot shows, it was the best piece of music and pyro choreography ever and was always a crowd favorite.

I think had the drones made it into Epcot there would have been some significant differences in the show compared to what we have today.

Any chance they could go back to the prior plans with drones? Or was there a significant difference in infrastructure or barges?

There was a very specific build up to it that made it work as beautifully as it did. It wouldn't hit nearly the same just shoehorned into another show.

On that note though I would really like another entirely original soundtrack and I don't know why Disney didn't go for that again. The two original songs for LSOU are great (the first one is especially amazing and quickly became one of my favorite pieces of Epcot specific music) and the ROL soundtrack was actually incredible by today's standards.

I know Disney is capable of a ROE 2.0 because pieces of it exist throughout different shows. It exist through ROL's soundtrack, it existed through Harmonious's technical prowess, it exist through LSOU's pyro design and infrastructure. A reworked ROL soundtrack with LSOU's set up and Eric Tucker as lead pyro designer again and then add a globe, fire effects, and drones and you have yourself a modern day classic that could easily last 10-15 maybe even 20 years.

Whatever they did, it did the trick. Everything appeared to work with all effects running tonight.
The final bursts of crackles are still missing at the end. But yes the center barge lift went down tonight after it was done!

What it should look like / happen:

Absolutely watch this video if you've seen the show live or previously online.

No one does night shows justice like CLIFFIX.

It made me emotional watching it again just now.

Cliffix's (and Marni's) work documenting and preserving the parks in outstanding quality does invaluable work for not only the current generation but ensuring what makes these experiences special doesn't get lost for future generations.

Sincerely, thank you.
What a recording.

I was pretty sure they did, it was just later than it was during the premiere. I’m pretty sure they’ve adjusted the pyro timings since then.
That gif was from a recording 2 weeks ago.

Besides this livestream from tonight (and the past few nights) did not have the crackles I'm referencing. It's low to the barges and flashes in a ring-like partern. It's basically a duplicate effect that happens during A Friend Like Me.

Even after the timing adjustments since the premiere, you'll just be able to faintly hear it, but it's definitely noticeably visually missing.

Thanks you for explaining that to me. Now I definitely see what is missing. That is a really neat effect that I wish they could make larger to give the finale the pop that ROE had.

The buildup plays a part but that sequence all by itself would be a hit! It never got old.
They always played just that segment on commercials for the millennium. That segment alone celebrates Celebration. So Life is a celebration in itself.

When they did the tapestry of dreams segment in Epcot Forever everyone went bonkers!🥰

I have yet to seen Luminous in person but by video I always feel the ending is missing punch the last fireworks isn't boom enough. I also skip the Disney music even though So Close is a favorite song. The more I listen to Luminous the more I appreciate the work they did on the Harmonious soundtrack. If this show was entirely original music I would love to see different voices similar to Harmonious and Epcot Forever and not just the two female leads.

It's a different beast in person, especially after repeat viewings. Missing a pop at the end vs HEAs crackles, but it's stronger pyro than harm.

Does anyone know if Luminous uses the two large pyro barges that Harmonious and EF used or does it just use the Luminous specific barges. Also are those considered the WWIII barges, I never knew and was honestly to afraid to ask lol.

I don't think they use them. If you look at the DVC Moonlight Magic show recently, they put those WWIII barges in between the Luminous ones.
