Epcot's 25th

I would really like to see some special 25th anniversary Epcot merch with the original 5-ring Epcot logo.

This is COMPLETELY on a tangent, but interesting nonetheless...

(well, it's interesting to anyone involved in graphic design  )

I think it's ironic that as other companies, such as Best Buy, Apple, and Target, are relying less on using text and more on using logos to represent themselves, Disney is ditching the fantastic pavilion symbols in favor of typography. I consider the original EPCOT Center pavilion logos to be one of the best-designed logo series ever produced in the U.S. Although the pavilions have changed, there's no good reason that Disney couldn't have created symbols for the replacements. Instead, as with the Land and the Living Seas, we're getting cheap-o typography that looks like it was done in less than an hour and isn't even kerned correctly.

/end designer rant.

(If you don't care about such issues, please ignore that post. I get paid to care about things like this.)

Oh! Back to the topic

I haven't heard anything substantial about a 25th special celebration; but considering how much refurbishing Epcot is under right now, I'll speculate that Disney is partly doing all this because of the upcoming anniversary.

How about a new parade? Epcot is the only Disney theme park that currently does not have a parade. Seems like a "can-do" way to celebrate EPCOT's 25th (IMHO).

I like the way you think! :animwink:

Thank you.

As far as to take Epcot to EPCOT is not possible. Walt belive in going foward in inovation, there is a quote "Disneyland won't ever be finished as long as there is imagination in the World" (or something like it).

I am in favor of a retrospective of what EPCOT was. But i am also in favor of New and better attractions.

For some reason we all love Epcot one way or another, and People is what makes Epcot one of the Best Parks in the World.
