Epcots 2015 mystery project?

I agree that Future World is in bad shape. It needture Worlds a lot of love and attention. And one of the main food places, the Odessey, needs to be serving food again. That side of Future World lacks in any sort of food.

Most of the countries are operated without direct sponsorship from that country, Moracco is possibly a sole example. Most of the sponsorship in Epcot is corporations. Epcot can be run without any sponsorship. You don't see MK with sponsorship for every attaction or eatery. Same with AK and the Studios. Therefore the only reasons for not adding countries is how much money TDO is willing to shell out.

Not true. Most of the sponsorships have always been private companies and pavilions have been operated without sponsorship.
Yes, I think I said that they have had to make some concessions through the years, but I don't think that they ever built the pavilions without the sponsorship of the country or the part of the countries private sponsorship. I don't really know how it works, but I do know something about human nature and if you can tell me that Disney can foot the bill, for example, France then Japan, Canada, Mexico, Norway and the rest wouldn't be standing in line saying, if you do it for that Country, why not ours? Why should we pay to promote our country if France doesn't have too? DISCLAIMER: This was just an example, I am not indicating that France is not paying their own way. Insert whatever country makes you feel good...same result.

I would love to see exactly how this system works, but, it isn't likely that the details will ever be made public. I do think that they are walking a very narrow line of diplomacy to keep everyone happy.

There is space for a few more countries as well.

I'd rather they add attractions to existing pavilions than focus on building new ones. Why not add the previously planned rides to Japan or Germany? Or come up with something for the UK (Stonehenge/Druid based? King Arthur? Doctor Who?). It would be nice to have some sort of ride on the Canada to Japan side of the lake.

Erm, not really, maybe 1/2 next to Mexico, even you demolish the abandoned white building. Plus they need a country to be able to sponsor a pavilion, which isn't going to happen. And why bother to level off test track. They JUST re-did it. If anything is staying the same it's TT, even though I'm not fond of the new one.

There's plenty of spots to put in new pavilions if they wanted to build them. Yes, the space between Mexico and Norway is one. There's a huge amount of space between China and Germany where the African Outpost is (could potentially fit two there). And there's room between other countries (Germany/Italy, Japan/Morocco, Morocco/France. If you look at how close China and Norway are, you see that there is room.

I feel exactly the same, the countries they have are great and there isn't much room left to fit a new one, if so then you need to expand backwards which won't work. But you can expand other countries "backwards. " give them more space and room and add more attractions. Japan and Germany definitely has potential.

Please go onto google maps then tell me there is room. It looks like there is but there really isn't. It would be ultimately cramming in a new country which isn't even badly needed. Yea, be cool to see a new one but if its going to take away space then I don't want it. :)

We could argue this all day, and it would be for nothing. There is no way that they are going to add another country on their own. Sponsored is possible, but without it...not a chance.

I think its safe to say that there is no way this rumored project going to be a new country pavilion. It would not be finished by 2015. At the current pace they are building (*cough, mine train) it wouldnt be complete until 2020.

I'd love for it to be a big infusion of what was given to California Adventure. Fixing Future World, turning WoL into something aside from a catering hall, either returning Imagination back to its past glory or making something that at least is the same quality, etc.

I wouldn't be opposed to having the Muppets invade the Imagination pavillion (and this is being said as someone who is both a huge Muppet and Figment fan). I believe they could be brought in and maybe adopt Figment. After all when he used to walk around with Dreamfinder, he was a puppet. :P A cross between maybe what was supposed to be the Muppet Movie Ride and the original Imagination ride. I think it could be done and breathe new life into that pavillion tenfold. If DHS is going to get rid of the muppet area, rather than go away for good anywhere in the parks, why not bring MuppetVIsion to the theater at Imagination? It just seems like such a natural pairing. Make the 'Whatnot' Workshop, or some other incarnation part of the store there.

WoL: They'll probably have to raze the structure to do anything but maybe going with the 'healty' theme again wouldn't be the worst idea with the push for healthy eating and well being. Just handled a different way this time. A new Kitchen Kabaret, a restuarant (which it seems FW always needs), and some other kind of ride might be best. The weather idea for a pavillion is also interesting but the Land is already a theming mess where Soarin doesn't really fit. Or Living with the Land doesn't fit...take your pick.

Unfortunately judging by past annoucements, I'm thinking its goign to be a bathroom revamp or FP+ viewing areas (all the waterside ones that people watch from that aren't restaurants) for Illuminations.
