I never got to ride Horizons, OR World of Motion, OR Dream Flight, OR 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. In fact, the only ride that's not at WDW right now that I got to ride was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Isn't he (or she) such a cute wittle critter, Steven? :)

I was sitting on a bench minding my own business, eating a bag o' potato chips and this little furry friend scampered up to me and how could I deny such a sad face?! So I fed the rascal what remained of my chips.

In payment for the chips, the critter stood on its hind legs and inquisitively looked directly at my big camera as I snapped a couple of photos of it...

Then he or she scampered away, never to be seen or heard from again... :(

:)

The wand and stars may come off of Spaceship Earth as early as 2006. I've heard 2007 and 2008 also mentioned in the past. Can't say I know the soruces too well since it's just probably dozens of rumor websites.

It does seem that the wand and stars will come down before or during EPCOT Center's 25th anniversary, which I think is in 2007? :veryconfu

It's too bad that Hurricane Charley couldn't blow that thing down, let alone take a few empty barren leave-a-legacy stones with it. I almost have to wonder...if the wand did fall down during the storm, I wonder if the Disney Corporation would build another one to obscure that geosphere. They seem unstable enough to do it.

I yurn for the day when the wand and stars come off of SSE, and we get just get closer to that great old EPCOT Center, let alone an overhaul of the entrance to the park which is a dark, and barren wasteland full of pictures of peeps who got sucked into leave-a-legacy. Grrrrrrr just another way of getting peep's money.

THAT IS THE ONE THING I ASKED THIS STORM TO DO............. oh well, maybe they are waiting on me to come back down there and give me the wrench that unscrews the thing and let me knock it down. :sohappy: that would be a blast.

forget 2006, im saying 20now!

note: i also asked the storm to spare life and animals through its path. didnt want to sound to insensitive.

Leave a Legacy is gay. Who wants to spend $20 on a picture of them that will never be looked at closely by anyone? I know someone who did it, and now they can't find their picture!

*In response to the commercial* No, I do not think Viagra is right for me.

LOL

Anyway, it also makes it hard to get to the monorail station and such, because these great big stones are there. I've never actually seen anyone waiting in line for it. I doubt that anyone has done it recently, but I could be wrong.

Awww man...you got my hopes up....

You think Eisner will take a bribe to bring the wand down from SSE? :lookaroun

I response to the posts about the Leave a Legacy Stones. I like having them there, and I think they look great from a distance. It's also a great thing to see families searching for their picture on a return visit. If you cannot find yours, you can always get help at the Leave a Legacy Counter. The stones are not in the way of the monorail station for the Leave a Legacy stones are in the park and the station is outside of the park.
Now as for that daggone wand... It just needs to be gone.. along with the stars on SSE. Everytime I visit and take pics of SSE I go on the other side next to the Art of Disney and take a picture with the wand out of the picture. I even did this on July 4th when they had the projections on SSE. Maybe they'll remove when they rehab SSE for the coaster.. lol.. joking of course! SSE is one of my favs!

Yes, Epcot's 25th anniversary is indeed in 2007. And I've heard as well that the wand will maybe come down in 2006 in preparation for it. Let's hope so! I hate that stupid thing! It looks so gaudy and tacky! This is WDW people, not Vegas!

I personally love the wand on SSE and don't want to see it go. I love Fantasia and enjoy seeing the wand at Epcot and hat at MGM (which I know you all hate that too). I also love the Leave a Legacy as my mother and I got a free tile in Novemeber with our vacation package. I was just there a little over 2 weeks ago and enjoyed searching for it. And it's not hard to, just go to the LaL counter and they can tell you the exact location. And yes, I did have to wait for them to tell me where it was because many people were waiting in line to get their picture taken to be on that wall as well. It's nice knowing since I can't be there everyday, at least a picture of me is. So I will always have a part of me there. I miss the old Epcot yes, but I don't mind the new Epcot at all either.

I would kind of think and hope they would take the wand and stars down by 2006 or during 2006. Spaceship Earth is a marvel. It is the first completely lifted geodesicsphere. Yes there were completely lifted spheres before it, but Spaceship Earth is the first one to be completed geodesically. I think that is something to celebrate.

I have always felt that the original entrance from 1982 to 1999 made sense. It was simple, not complex, and airy. It used cool toned colors and chrome, with a small slap on of orange paint. It had fountains and gardens, exotic plants, and two parallel rows of palms trees of different heights making their way up to Spaceship Earth. It as very beautiful, and veyr welcoming to the guest.

They had to take that all away when they built the 2000 entrance, now just a shadow of its former self. Gone are the palm trees [except for a few on the wandless side of Spaceship Earth]. The gardens, grass, and everything including the sculpture fountain are all gone.

It's very barren I think, and unwelcoming. There's too much confusion in there, and its all off balance, especially with that wand making SSE look smaller. It was not a good decesion in my opinion. Leave A Legacy should go in between future world and world showcase. There is room for it. They need to restore that entrance atleast by and after the 25th anniversary. It would be not only right, but appealing to the guests, because they aren't going into the outscirts of vegas, but a tropical florida park, with a simple yet grand geodesic sphere greeting them like it did from 1982-1999.

Wow, I had no idea that the tiles had a sexuality.

Please refrain from using derogatory street slang. Be more creative. "Leave a Legacy is silly to me" will win you more friends than using sexual slang that many may find offensive.
