EPCOT question...

I'm doing a project on developer Harmonix, makers of the video game Guitar Hero and such. Well, back in 1998 they developed a game for EPCOT (Not sure which pavilion) called CAMJAM. Here's a description of it:

" Our newest LBE product, CamJamtm, transforms the user's entire body into a musical instrument. Using camera-based input technology, CamJam transports users into virtual environments where they can star in their own music videos and improvise music just by moving their bodies."

Here's a picture of it:

Now, I come to you good people to ask if anyone remembers CamJam, what pavillion it was in and if it even still exists to this day.

If this is the wrong forum I apologize :D

I can't comment on CAMJAM specifically. But imagination has these two bays which have a projected Figment on a screen ... and then you WAVE your ARMS in and around this Football Goal looking apparatus to create sound with the projected figment. It plays music.

Just did a little more reasearch and found these two things:

Image Works is a 'fun house' where a guest can challenge their own imagination. It was located in the upstairs part of the Imagination pavilion. It allows you you create your own art using computers, take role in the Dreamfinder's School of Drama and play an orchestra by waving your hands. Guests could also create their own faces at Making Faces.
So it was defintly in ImageWorks. But then I read about the new mini ImageWorks called "What IF" (I've never been to epcot myself :( ) and found this:

The "What if?" Labs is an updated version of the old Image Works. The lab has many activities to test a guests imagination. Guests can also send photos from a giant digital camera via e-mail to their friends and family. Like in the original Image Works, there are stepping stones that give off different sounds when you step on them. One of the more interesting features is a motion activated instrument that plays music depending upon your motion inside the sensors. There are alot of different stations around this area.
Can anyone confirm if they're one of the same?

that first device was not in the upstairs image works.... there was an area where one could conduct their own orchestra, though, but this was not "digital" (installed WELL before 1998!)

The new image works musical game is completely different... Motion sensors make Figment play an instrument he is holding....used to be trashcans or somethin when it was JIYI.

so, no, I do not recall this device ever being in the IMAG pavilion..... Innoventions, per chance?

Alright, I really, really hate to bump an Old thread, but I never found the answer, and the topic has come up again, and a answer is needed badly :(. Just wondering if anyone has any information about this again :(.

I believe it was in the `98 Imagination pavilion, in the `new` Imageworks What If... labs. It was a development from the original Electronic Philharmonic in the 1982 Imageworks upstairs.
I recently saw a park Millenium projects video that featured something like your description, and your date (98) would be right too.
