EPCOT Princess Meal

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
Is Akerhaus an good location for a character meal? i found it as welcoming as a plate of pickled herring. Despite the visual distractions provided by the CMmmmmmmms;)

No Kidding, I thought Odyssey for sure. Seemed like a good neutral zone for Princesses from all countries to roam, and we all know how the Odyssey has been dying for a good practical function in EPCOT once again. Maybe if the test period goes well, they will move it to a more permanent location? MKtiggerman?

Maybe they chose the site because it was castle-like in the European style? That was my first thought. You want that regal atmosphere. :king: Sure, it's a little grim and medieval, but that's what castles were really like.

When someone goes, please let us know how it is. We're calling within minutes for a ps at Cindy's for Sept. and I guess we won't get it so...

Thanks
Julie

I think that is the reason why Akershus was chosen: the interior decorations and setting, but I don´t get why they will only have it open until 10:30am. I would think they would keep it open until 11am when WSC opens and people just exit ready to walk around it. The Odyssey would have been a good choice in my opinion too becuase of its location, but Akershus is already set, so less troubles bringing and setting tables! :D

10:30 is the final seating time, meaning the latest time a person would be seated for the meal.

It does mean, that all peopel have to be seated, eat, and leave the resturant by that time.

Same way as there usually is a time gap between breakfast/lunch/and dinner times. That way they have a chance to sarted getting the place ready for the next group of people. But they never throw people out if they are still eating.

One time I ate at Crystal Palace, and we had the very 1st lunch seating around 11am, and they still had 1/2 of the serving area set up for breakfast, and there were still people in the place eating breakfast.

Now if you are there eating, and finish eating prior to 11am, they probaly will herd you back into FutureWorld.

Ah ok... thanks... I understood that they were going to stop serving breakfasts at 10:30 am! I understand they need to clean and set for lunch too, but it seemed like a lot of time for me, but I didn´t consider that some people eat very early! :animwink:

thanks... shucks. The review may be a bit late, since tomorrow I have to call and cancel my PS's... due to an unforseen scheduling conflict. I'll have to rebook for later on in the week, or attempt to get a walk-in

Is future world open while the princess breakfast is going on? The family wants to go but I don't. I guess I can sleep in and catch a later bus to Epcot.
