Epcot Plan of Action?

Hello, WDWmagic!

Looking to take a trip to Disney in the first week of August.Doing this, we will be in Epcot for the first time since 2001. Seeing that Soaring, and Test Track weren't open, then...What should we get fast passes for first? We were planning on getting to the park at opening (Maybe with EMH) and going to get a Fast past for something first, before we ride.

I was thinking get the FPs for Soaring first, and then wait in line for Test? Or do you recomend something different.

Thanks, everyone!

Can't ask me...I always hit up SSE first. Tradition!

Heh, same here.

It's a toughie though. I think both attractions are probably just as busy as the other. Though I think Soarin' sometimes seems to get the bigger lines and runs out of FP's faster.

I'd say hit Soarin first for a FP, then trek over to the test track for the stand-by line. If you go during an EMH, you should have a pretty short wait for the Test Track.

There is no question what you should do get a FP for Soarin then when you can again TT I hate MS but you can FP that if you want. Nothing else in Epcot should have more than a 30 min no matter how busy it is. SSE is an omnimover and I have never waited over 20 min for even when I was there on New Years.

If you are staying on property - this is my suggestion:

Go to Epcot on the morning of EMHs. This way, you will have an hour where the park will be virtually empty. Follow these steps:

1) Go to Soarin' 1st. Get both a FP and ride it. There will be no wait. You will be out of there by 830am.

2) Head to Mission: Space and Test Track. You should be done with both of those rides by 930am. By the time the 9am crowds arrive, you would have already did the major attractions.

The rest of the day, play by what you like to do.

Here is a plan for off site:

1) Arrive at Epcot no latter than 830am. They let people in the park by 845am. You will go to the rope drop (generally, everyone goes to the Soarin' drop). Once the rope drops - head to Soarin. You have to walk in a calm line so there is no running.

2) After Soarin, grab a FP for it for later in the day. You may opt to get a FP directly and not ride (base it on the lines).

3) Head to Mission: Space and Test Track.

I agree, we usually use the single rider line at Test Track and we usually ride it in the morning or during extra magic hours, since it tends to close a lot during the day in August due to thunderstorms.

I agree with everyone who says head to Soarin' first, also don't count out MS there is the "green side" that is much tamer than the "orange side". My 7 year old (who does not like thrill rides) rode it last year and loved it.
